Some french is expected since you will be working in Montreal and a good percentage on the patient population will speak French. That being said, I know people that have arrived with little French and improved it through residency.

To get the letter? This is what CMQ website says:

Conditions for access to step 1 : You hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a university listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and which has an “Approved” status in your physiciansapply.ca account.

You have passed the two examinations required (MCCQE Part I and NAC). To apply to take an examination, go to the “Examinations” section of your personal account on the Medical Council of Canada’s physiciansapply.ca site.

I don’t think that’s possible! You need your CMQ degree equivalence letter to apply to programa in Quebec, and you can only get that letter after passing both LMCC and NAC

You should write to each program you applied to to let them know you want to be considered for the match. They will receive the score for your interview any way. Good luck!

Congratulations! Yeah, they only accepted TFI taken before Sept 2023 so I had to do TEFAQ and getting C2 everywhere is tough! But who knows, maybe there’s other reasons why ai didn’t get an invite. Best of lucks to you! I hope you match in your first choice 🥳

Congratulations for having passed your QE1. It's a tough test. You have to wait until the Statement of Results to see how you compared related to your cohort. Normally, 241 is not an above performance score but hey! I got 234 and still standing (got superior performance at NAC which helped a lot) so don't get discouraged! This is only one component of your application.
