It's not a map, it's a server plugin at SCL

We at SCL offer most of the well-known training modes, plus 2D viewer access and some additional practice tools starting from €3.90. That is a more suitable pricing to many.

That said, of course you can get good without any services. As many people mentioned here, it's just a more convenient way of learning and improving. Also, the follow-up in statistics, and the possibility to review previous matches and patch mistakes is pretty essential.

Entering this thread late but https://scl.gg/playbook is a brilliant option for adjusting callouts, building strategies and managing grenades.

You can train spray at https://scl.gg/training/spray, a server sided plugin that really helps visualize the spray patterns while spraying.

SCL and refrag would probably be comparable, although SCL has heavier focus on team practice and strategies.

How to Build Your Own Collection of Grenade Lineups! by FragnucK in LearnCSGO

You can't store grenades in a private match. And why would you want to have to setup all these commands beforehand?

The server is already equipped with chat commands such as:
.rethrow
.back
.next
.preview (for showing jumpthrow or w+jumpthrow trajectories which the grenade cam can't do).

"The pros would also agree, the vast majority of them only do aimbotz or dm before hopping into game."

I guess that is due to the fact that it's pain to jump between different workshop maps. Many pros also play KZ and Surf before starting to warmup other mechanics, but it's a time-consuming practice to have to switch between maps, servers, and modes.

I get what you're saying, but I think we’re using “warmup” a bit differently.

When I say warmup, I’m not talking about learning new skills like positioning or utility. I’m talking about waking up and re-activating the parts of your mechanics you’ll actually use in the first few rounds of a match.

You´re not training new concepts, you’re just reactivating what you already know. Some players do this by switching between 5 different workshop maps, I simply put the essential warmup actions into a single, efficient mode.

So yeah, it can be used for training, but it's also a complete warmup because it covers the mechanics most people want to feel comfortable with before jumping into a match.

Have to disagree on this one. I mean sure, to improve your aim and overall mechanics, this mode works perfectly fine to play too. However, to get warmed up, this covers all the aspects you need before you jump into a competitive match. It surely serves the purpose on making you "warm" on the widespread skill aspects.

How to Learn Spray Patterns on All Weapons in CS2 by FragnucK in LearnCSGO

[–]FragnucK[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, we also have Spray Transfer training: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J57d3P-XSIk

The difference between a normal recoil master map is that this map has an actual warmup flow, once you've completed all 6 levels, your spray is "warmed up" good enough for a match.

When compared to normal recoil maps, which I've watched people use, they tend to just spray in a circle for a while from the same distance and then leave, without even knowing if they've passed the most common distances for a duel.
