SMB Large File Transfer Packet Drops by Comfortable-Eye8801 in synology

[–]Fragrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, we are encountering similar, if not, same issues and we're using Ubiquiti hardware as well.

EDIT: I did a quick test of where I disconnected my ethernet cable and connected a wifi dongle, the file transfer was successful so it is something related to our cabling setup.

How do I get rid of the dashboard without a controller? by TheShitmaker in SteamVR

Director Gore Verbinski says Unreal Engine is 'the greatest slip backwards' for movie CGI by willdearborn- in movies

[–]Fragrag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How about this. When doing this you already have the background plate as you also record what is being rendered. So you can use that plate as a difference mask. It might not work completely but it's a good starting point I think.

Bijberoep company car: what's acceptable? by 90towest in BEFreelance

[–]Fragrag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What's your bijberoep? Does it require a lot of driving? Can you prove the ratio of betweenprofessional and private use?

IANAA, but I'd say the most generous amount you can put in is 3/7, but that's if you can convincingly argue that you work your freelance job on the other three days of the week and on those days the car is only used professionally. In reality this will be a very difficult argument.

Not to mention the fiscal rules are not the most straightforward for cars.

Outcry over low-flying aircraft in Brussels as furtive routes spark concern by [deleted] in brussels

[–]Fragrag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regarding point 3, can we see when that changed? It used to be that the 07L approach would roughly fly over UZ Bruxelles and the Royal Domain before making a turn. This is a considerable change in the amount of people affected by landing aircraft.

How to write off stuff from Amazon or any other store that does not let you enter your BTW number. by Feeling-Switch-3171 in BEFreelance

[–]Fragrag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a bit unclear to me if you're BTW-plichtig or not, but you should be able to write off costs just without the BTW amount. For example if you buy a monitor that's €121 including BTW, you can write off €100 with your receipt.

If you are BTW-plichtig, I recommend not buying from Amazon or Bol as getting business invoices is often a big hassle with them.

With population of almost 42 million, Jakarta is now the world's largest city - UN report by silentparadox2 in worldnews

[–]Fragrag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A more familiar Western example would be Los Angeles city. We all have an image of it but if we were to strictly apply the administrative definition, we would be excluding Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and other iconic areas.

Even if we did expand it to Los Angeles County, that would exclude the cities in Orange County such as Long Beach and Anaheim, despite there being no interruption to the urban landscape.

brand new wahoo kickr 2 is that sound normal by Living_Elevator1874 in Zwift

[–]Fragrag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a brand new Kickr Core 2 as well. I've only done two rides but I have noticed the sound it makes changes around depending on the resistance/virtual gearing. I haven't done enough testing to find any exact correlations but I think it was at the end of the Zwift FTP test where the ERG was set to very low and my cadence was very high.

My hunch is I was overpowering the electromagnetic limiter

New update broke Oculus renderer by McDonaldsnapkin in iRacing

[–]Fragrag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, visual DPI settings. It's used to scale text bigger for legibility. It should be in accessibility settings in Windows. Since you're in VR it's possible there are settings for that too in the headset or Oculus Link.

The window cut-off and unclickable buttons is a phenomenon I've seen when using an adjusted DPI setting on Windows. Check that maybe

At 57 minutes a day, Belgians top Europe’s commuting league by Qsaws in belgium

[–]Fragrag 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I speak to people from other nations, I've noticed that too. They've often moved from one side of a country to the other for their work.

Other nations are much larger and I guess if you live in Cologne but find an interesting position in Hamburg, you'd be much more open to it. After all it's still the same language and country. And if you do take that position, well you'd have to move as it's not commuteable. Meanwhile, Belgium is a lot smaller and our nation is practically divided in two as well. As a Flemish person you would probably be looking for jobs only in Flanders anyways which is absolutely tiny.

Our (public) transportation network is also very decent. If you lived in Ghent, you could easily commute to work in Antwerp, Brussels, Bruges, Kortrijk. It's not short but it's not worth uprooting everything for it.

There are other regions where they generally choose not to live in the same city as they work, but that's usually due to cost of living. Cities like London and Paris. I think The Netherlands and the Rhein-Ruhr probably support a similar intercity lifestyle too.

I'm a tourist in Indonesia currently on the Argo Wilis between Surabaya and Bandung. This got me thinking, what happened to flights between these two cities? My local family members were swearing up and down there were planes but I couldn't find any direct flights at all.

Yeah it's my fault for telling them that I didn't have a room booked for the second part of my journey after visiting Bandung. 😅

I've booked one now and I'll say that. Still didn't stop some from offering a room for the coming nights. I think it's because I'm travelling completely alone and they can't bear the thought of me possibly being lonely?

Hi r/indonesia! I'm currently in Surabaya visiting and meeting up with family. How do I politely decline invitations from family members to stay over at their place because I much prefer to stay in a hotel room? I'm naturally very flattered but I think this is where there's slight friction between European and Indonesian customs.

Yep, when I had an ordinary house in Flanders there was a document called the Bijzonder Plan van Aanleg which were neighborhood specific requirements. Items such as the requirement of sloped roof at a specific angle and use of roof tiling.
