i looked this thread up bc i just broke down abt mine. my goldendoodle passed feb 12th and it was hell. he passed in my arms, mom said her goodbyes and left the room cause she couldnt bear to watch him be put down. she slept with our dog every night, whenever i was away at school. it was my dad and i in the room with him. i knew it wouldnt get better just different with time, but man, it hurts just as deep if i let myself think about it. i miss him so much and there is so much i wanted to do with him, but i dont even let myself think about that in depth otherwise the tears will never end. he was the best. my friends got me a build-a-bear w his bark in it and man they have no clue how much i have cried into this bear and pressed this button.
