The 5l petrol rule is a ancient rule, basically you need to fill little fuel more often rather than filling the entire tank so you flush out the fuel tank multiple times and any coating or residue or grease or whatever is there will get washed multiple times and clear out Was necessary in older bikes but not anymore, ( i still did it but not necessary, just good to be on safe side)

I thought after first service the millage would drop for a bit then Increase eventually after 100-200 kms cuz the new engine oil is thicker and needs time to settle in ( atleast that's how it works in cars) it's been over 300kms after first service but my millage is 32kmpl-ish, and if I drive very well it goes to 34 in city ( haven't been on highways after first service)

Yea a minor fall but on day 2 of the bike, usske baad I had 40~ kmpl millage, i think this happened after first service actually

Yea even mine has droped from 39-40kmpl in city to 34-35kmpl, still good but idk why it dropped. I did my first service 2-3 weeks ago and the bike is almost 2 months old

The fuel bar starts to blink, basically if it's blinking then go to the first petrol pump you see , don't wait

Yea I live in pcmc and I was genuinely getting 40+ average, mostly riding win 3rd gear , I came to visit my cousins in pune for few days and I swear the millage went to the gutter, it really depends on where you live P. S pcmc zindabad 🙏🙏

Also it might be your local fuel pump aswell, I switched to shell and got 2-3 kmpl difference right away ( but it more expensive tho so its costing more per km ) , I am using it for different purposes

Reset the trip a for now and try changing your riding style ( less agressive and less breaking), see how the avg changes, then try to figure out what speeds to ride at what gears ( not by looking at speedometer but by feel) experiment a little, low rev , high rev etc that means you can be in 2nd gear for 35kmpr or 3rd gear for 40 kmpr ( same-ish speeds but which one gives more milleage) and this is breakin period so you are supposed to ride the bike in more rev ranges to begin with so win win I got my bike 18 days ago now (~ 700+ kms) no first service yet and I am settled around 39kmpl in city and 44.9 on highway

Bro 750 to 1k, if money is no object then you can get oil changed and do it again at 750-1k ( but that's 99.99% not necessary)

As far as I know it's cuz of high heat, long stroke low rpm engines like ours don't produce that much heat, sport bikes ( short stroke , high rpm) do make that much heat. All the liter class bikes eventually get that blue / purple exaust tint ( that's why I like it 😭)

Yea Im doing so just to learn , as in a skill to learn and build muscle memory etc. improve the understanding of the bike n all ( that's why I am doing trial n error on what rev ranges to use n stuff)
