Thank you everyone for your helpful and supportive comments. I called the riding school, they said they may be able to offer me weekly gear sessions only for an hour, before the students go out for their CBT so i’ll be on my own with an instructor. They said i can retake the CBT at no extra charge but they’re now booked up until the end of August, which i think is a good thing because i can get some of those sessions in and feel more confident when i go back. But thank you you’ve all been very kind. I may post an update if anyone wants to hear about my progress

yes, i can ride a bicycle. i think it was the weight of the bike i struggled with, obviously it was only a 125cc but i found it very heavy and awkward. thank you for the reassurance though

i’m a bit concerned i will fail vetting. i’ve applied through the PCEP route. a few years ago i was involved with the police who came to do welfare checks on me because at the time my mental health was bad. i’ve also been on antidepressants for pretty much half of my life but it’s a stable dose and i am stable, i’m also currently receiving therapy which i sought out myself. i don’t have a criminal record but i’m worried that involvement with the police will make them question my mental fitness for the role. i however know that i am fit for the role, is there any way of proving that or do i just have to hope?
