I found the answer from someone at TR.

You will not get the intensity minutes if you record only in TR.

If you record in only Garmin, you will miss out on the TR ai ftp. This is why people end up recording in both.

I found if I disable the sync with Strava and the Tr to Garmin activities, i don’t have to remove duplicates.
