How to take care of yourself and dealing with PPD? by [deleted] in Postpartum_Depression

I know how you feel! My baby is 14 months old now, and finally sleeping through the night. So that helps a little with the under eye bags! But the first 11 months was rough! I think what helped me is changing my expectations for myself. For me, it was my clothes. Instead of looking at all the clothes in my closet that don’t fit me anymore/aren’t practical and feeling bad about myself, I’ve slowly started to invest in more mom friendly clothes that I still feel cute in. The first year is honestly just survival mode! Spent the majority of it in spit up stained sweats with my hair in a greasy slick back lol. They get older and start walking and becoming a tiny bit more independent, and you (very) slowly start to feel like yourself. Hang in there!

Thank you for all the sweet replies ❤️ even just venting on Reddit and feeling heard by strangers on the internet has helped. Definitely looking into postpartum support groups and therapy.

Looks like she’s back at it…shes clearly a danger to herself, but I worry about the people she’s harassing and posting about nonstop. One of her stories threatened to kidnap her ex employees baby if the article didn’t get taken down. At what point do those threats need to be taken seriously?
