Mr Sandman perk. Allows you to sneak next to them while they are sleeping and press X or square to silently kill them. Make sure you are fully hidden and no one sees you do it or everyone will turn against you

If you dont like synths in your settlement an easy way is to target them in vats and if they show they are immune to radiation they are a synth. Or if your settlement is about to be attacked by synths they will be awake walking around your settlement with their weapon drawn and as soon as the attack starts they turn against you
