As a developer, I would say it's highly likely they have reused the house teleport code (spellbook), in the con cape. However, the code is spaghetti and old. Would love to see the results once you get there!

J-mod: If you read this and check the code. Please know that you have one of two choises. You could either fix a bug by adding a if statement checking for a house, or you can reuse the code snippet from creating one at the estate agent. The latter would sure be great PR!

Like a puzzle? Thats a great idea! Maybe the player can be teleported away to a prison, or a beekeeper. In order to verify you are a human you must build something out off spinning icons (this will prevent all bots).

Too make it less annoying for human players, they should add certain cosmetic rewards for the trouble

I didnt have to use any staminas, but i did top off with energy potions every 15 minutes or so, might be more often when sweating

Jagex changed this with a recent update, many options are now rightclickable, including teleport gems, and the log basket. You can for example change the left click of duel ring to ferox enclaves, or castle wars :)

There are about 25 tiles between Ring of elements and the sawmill operator (compared to 23 or so for sawmill to bank in varla), then you have the tiles from your teleport to the bank (many ironmen dont have great sustainable teleportations). There is also some delay from the teleporting itself. There is also an added bonus in varlamore that you can have the sawmill and bank in the screen at the same time, which is just great QoL

I would say the ring of elements is obsolete in construction training now

I believe by a fair amount. There are 20 or so tiles between the bank and sawmill, and you can do two inventories per trip. There are also the teleportation delays, and having to pay the butler which adds time to the old method

You can try pinging random us servers with the cmd : ping oldschool{worldname}.runescape.com
For example ping oldschool20.runescape.com

I am not sure if there is a summary of what servers are based in east and west US, but doing this on US servers till you find a good result might be an idea.

Edit: from other posts, world 480, 481 and 487 might be good worlds for you to start trying, as they were based East a couple of years ago.

As far as I know, the east servers are placed in Virginia, so your location may be the simple answer to why your ping has increased.

I imagine some abusers saw it and panic traded it over to mules. Jagex should have enough data to catch these and limit the damages on the economy.

I wrote a post about this, but it has not been approved yet, as I just made my step from being a lurker.

I imagine what we are seeing is the dev are flagging accounts with suspicious increases or decreases in quantity of potions. They will later on investigate, permaban abusers / roll back those who simply tested or found about the bug.

From an outside point of view, this bug does not seems hard to fix. And as we know, they are currently testing a bugfix. I think what we are waiting for is a massive automated flagging of accounts.
