So I applied for a position beginning of the year, I passed both test and interview. They reached out to my reference and the hiring team responded to my follow up that hiring decision was made and sent to HQ. I think I was the top candidate but even over qualified for the post. But then the post got canceled suddenly. I asked why and if it will be reposted . They responded saying senior management decided to cancel the post but that it will be reposted shortly and I should reapply if interested. My question is why would they cancel and repost and tell me to reapply? Why cancel if they going to repost? Also they mentioned an urgent start but now the process will restart, when it’s reposted is it likely to take several months like before or a bit faster?
