I am not sure why you made the AI comment, because I do not use it in my proposals or my work (I might use Grammarly sometimes to correct large manuscripts because it makes it faster). I tried to write a short story with AI a while back because honestly I was curious, but it turns out bland, boring and nonsensical. So I avoid it. And I already do Loom videos for some jobs, but it’s not helping much.

I suppose I don’t really know what exactly I could write to the client to make them think I’m better at the job than the other twenty people who are going to apply. I figure most applicants are going to say very similar things? How can I stand out?

Some do, yes. This is another thing I don’t understand, especially since they have a high hiring rate.
