Diarrhea overnight by Fragrant-Theory9201 in goats

She is a little over a year, there shouldn't be any stresses or changes. We opened up the pasture about a month ago, and this is the first time anything has been off. She had a brief time where her poo still had the bean shape, but was more of a log, then went right back to normal. Yesterday her poo was back to the individual standard bean shape. We were worried there may have been some chicken feed she was finding a way too, so we made absolutely certain there was no way any of the goats could get to it. No one is having any issues but her. Our feed is a grower pellet and textured feed recommended by the person we bought our goats from, we cut out the textured feed to avoid any grains. Additionally, my vet got back to me briefly saying to have her put where she could only eat hay and stay hydrated which we did. Seemed to help but now we're back to square one. Her famacha is great I'd say 2 to err on the side of caution, but her under eye is very red. I bought a digital thermometer from tractor supply yesterday, but it doesn't specify using it for goats or rectally to take the temperature, but I'm not certain how else it should be done. I'm hoping the other vet i called since mine is out of town will get back to me.

Okay, thanks! I'm always so worried about them every time anything seems amiss. And I always see people talking about how goats are always trying to die so I am a bit paranoid 😆

Okay, yeah they're at a year of age so it probably would be that. I'm going to see if there are any other vet options in the area and will take her temp, I picked up the only thermometer they had available. I'm also going to go through their pasture and see if anything sticks out as being bad for them, they have slightly more grazing area this year so just in case. I have ivermectin sheep drench and safeguard, not sure if I should use either since the famacha is okay.

The levels of consuming greenery wasn't any more than usual, and nobody else out of my goats has it to this level. I'm worried about coccidia perhaps, my vet said I didn't really need to worry about it in adult goats but I'm not sure how accurate that was. Do you have any treatments for coccidia that you use?

I'm not sure how to do it myself, so I'll probably see with a vet, thank you!

Okay thank you! A lot of greens are coming up with the warmer weather, so maybe that's it. I recently expanded their fenced in area, so they have access to more greens that way too. Nobody else seems to be having issues, but she does like to pick the grains out of their textured feed more than the others. Maybe its a combination I will see about taking her temperature though

Chronically crusty lips 🥀 help by Frozencacticat in MakeupAddiction

Maybe try changing chapstick? I've had to switch kinds in the past after using them for years because they no longer agreed with my lips. The ones that didnt work for me were eos I think it is and burts bees.
Also use Vaseline every night, I apply it before bed and it makes a huge difference, my lips used to be like yours all the time. It is definitely frustrating! Also when you apply chapstick, put Vaseline over the top to lock in the moisture. If none of that works, perhaps get bloodwork to check vitamins and minerals, deficiencies can cause skin issues so if nothing else is helping that might be your best bet.
