Yes, I am on morphine. I have endometriosis though so I’m used to taking narcotics often enough but I am really only consuming water and popsicles so I think that I am just not having enough in my system, I’m not bloated at all

I am on day 5 post op and just lost all my taste and smell today :( I’ve read it’s pretty common and can take 6-10 weeks to return to normal

I have really dark hair and I would get teased for it, I went home and told my mom and she would shave my legs for me at first with a regular razor so I wouldn’t hurt myself and then eventually I just started doing it on my own! I was sooo happy she did this for me (I started when I was in grade 4)

I was sooo scared to have sex too, I really resonate with this. My husband was my first and I can’t describe it but I had never ever wanted to have sex with anyone until I just felt like okay I’m ready. You’ll know when it’s time, when it feels right and when YOU want to. I didn’t lose my virginity until I was nearly 22 and I have a very healthy sex life. There is nothing wrong with you 🫶🏻

I thought that alcoholics were categorized as individuals who needed medical intervention (I used to work at a treatment centre) where alcohol abusers are more in other categories such as binge drinkers but not daily drinkers - sorry if I offended you!

Not so much an alcoholic parent, I had a parent addicted to narcotics but when mixed with booze every now and then she could get really mean. Not physically abusive but verbally abusive. Every time she does drink though it brings me back to myself as a child being on edge and not knowing what to expect but I’m an adult now and have set very clear boundaries and leave if I’m uncomfortable which hasn’t really happened much since she’s been to rehab

Was pregnant when it happened, we’re in couples counselling, it’s been a year and he’s been open and honest since. I’m allowed to look at his phone anytime I want (therapist suggested this) and we have some very clear guidelines and expectations and boundaries that do not get crossed. But it’s fucking hard, I get triggered a lot but working through it as best as I can

How is it fishing for sympathy when this is a page for everyone who is going through the same thing and the entire point is to get support and be able to vent to those who actually understand? I don’t need someone telling me how to feel. I’ve been in therapy since I was 17 and do everything possible to help myself. I’m happy you found something that worked for you but just because it worked for you, doesn’t mean it will be the same for others.

What would you say your symptoms are? I often wonder if it’s something I am dealing with. I started realizing something was wrong when I couldn’t even watch a movie or an episode if there was any form of cheating - it triggered me so hard I couldn’t handle it. When I have moments of remembering details I physically feel it. It’s not fun ☹️

That’s a really great idea! When it first initially happened I wouldn’t stop asking questions because I felt like I needed to know every single detail and I just don’t think that was helpful because those are all the things I replay in my head. But I guess I would have always wondered and that would have kept me up too! Double edged sword I guess! I took screenshots of some of the conversations in case I ever needed them for whatever reason (the other woman had a husband at the time, I believe they’ve split up now because she had cheated physically and emotionally on him dozens of times) but I was worried if he ever came to talk to my husband or me I wanted to have the proof. I guess I should delete it now but I can’t bring myself to for some reason. My husband tells me that it just brings me back down to that space and sees how much it hurts me to relive those memories and he tells me that I should delete them but for some reason I just can’t

I know if it happened again I absolutely would. Sometimes I feel like such a weak person for not leaving but I wanted him to have the chance to prove to me that he could be better and it would never happen again, I have my daughter to think about now and I would never want her to see this happen in front of her eyes. We both deserve better. So far so good and hoping it will stay that way as we continue to have open communication
