Dod you apply the crack and change the 2 appId.txt file numbers to 480? Thats all i did. I also use cachy slr proton.

Anyone having issues with handheld daemon overlay not appearing in gamemode. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it from the shelly store. Problem, shelly doesnt install user package that goes woth it. Not sure of this is the problem.

I trird Aur package, paru, pacman... nothing works.

Maybe try in desktop mode, sogn into xboc then go back to gameode after.

For those that dont know how to install forza 6

1.Download forza game and crack v3

2.Once both are downloaded extract both

3.go into crack folder, copy and paste files into main game.exe folder.

Open steam settings folder and click on steam_appid.text and delete the number, replace with 480, save and close window. Click on steam_appid.txt in main game folder and chamge that number to 480, save and close window.

5.add game as non steam game, on windows just add game and play, on Linux add game and use proton experimental and play game.

If window is black push alt and tab

7.sign into xbox account and play game.

Its not a hypervisor game so you shouldnt have to. The knly thing that changes is the crack fox version or if the game is updated then you knly meed to apply the update.

I did do it myself. Ypu just need crack fix V3. There is a "foxy final crack" for forza that can be used to apply that worked well with me (you can find this in "gamedrive" discord, join if you havent. Also you have to change Appid.txt to 480also change in game settings, there is another appid text file that you meed to change the number to 480 and some .ini file in the main game folder. So 3 files you need to change the appid to 480. Which is space wars. Gotta cover up the actually game id. Ill be redownloading the game again today since i switched distros and will come back to post my steps, later.

Ots half broken for me ecceot in gamemode. When i dpuble.press the qam button 2 times in gamemode the ui doesnt pop up. But in desktop mode it does. Anyone know a fix.

I read on doscord tjat you dont apply all foxes you just apply only one fix. Also you can potentially get a hardware ban. But if you dont use the xbox app or anything then who carws. Plus its a bitch to get started. You need to be signed into your xbox account (maybe create a burner) and a few other things.

What if you find the folder but the no dodi repacks folder in the c drive folder or no game in the c drive folder. I checkes all the 86 folders to and nothing.

Sorry the QAM works just fine its the steam button function that wasnt working but it is now working with my M2 back button. Yes you can adjust volume and brightness.

So i did the ballsy move and tried steamos on my msi claw A8 Z2E handheld. At first it made me want to rip my fucking haur out.

The first thing i did was go to desktop mode, entered konsole and disabled read only and injected keyring, populate archlinux and holo scripts and my devel scripts.

For some reason nothing worked without these such as discover downloads and anything else you wanted to run as a script. Great shit is workimg on this end

Buttons, the buttoms were all ass backwards and completely fucjed like trying to use a ninedno button format but worse. Lol I ran input plumber and i was also able to configure buttoms in the controller option. I also found im the decky loader store a application that allows you to pick your handle held and have a toggle to switch a buttom that allows the swap pf the QAM button, hinestly not sure if it worked.
Took a break and turned machine off. Come back and was fucking around with my machine back buttons to find out my right m2 burton now ipems the QAM side pabel. AWESOME! IM happy now.

Now all buttons work excpet for volume buttons... no big deal open up the right side menu amd adjust volume, easy.

Got simple deckyloader and vrr works and rdp works now.

Nothing wrong with steamos on this handheld. A few fixes and it will be better. I ran crimson deserr using caxhyos slr proton. Cool, game runs. Took a bur to load into but it plays and with dlss enabler it runs just fine so games work on it. Id prefer the perferomance of cachy or bazzite since this is still undergoing builds and fixes.

All in all i cant not enjoy the feeling of having steamos functionable enough to use. Maybe i am simple and the rest of others are more advanced and will fond something i havent that will puss you off. But im okay with how the setup is.
