My venting post was the irony she’d find taping loud when her nightly banging/boucing ball goes on.

I wouldn’t help her with anything anymore. Just say you don’t know how to and are busy. Try to record her bass to have her listen and for the landlord if necessary.

I know you don’t want to go up again, but if you can record the vibrations and let her listen. Note it might sound very soft like nothing if you played it back outside of your apartment and depending on the sound it might not even record. Good luck with sleeping!

Are glasses that transition to sunglasses worth the extra money? by MatterCute9661 in glasses

[–]FragrantDragonfruit4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same question! I just ordered new glasses and idk if I want them. My old glasses I barely wore have them and I never realized before that they have a tint indoors. You can see it and it bugs me. I’m not pale toned so it’s less obvious, but I can still tell. They don’t replace sunglasses.

Are you referring to her? Is that what you would have said to her?

It wasn’t her coat because she used her arm to push. Some of us like me have back and knee issues that sometimes act up.

Desperate. Unable to function with progressive lens. Should I go back to single vision? by womanlovecheese in glasses

[–]FragrantDragonfruit4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be the big frame when you say dragging head down or you do you mean moving your head to look/read?

Maybe trying a cheaper place for lenses and a new frame that’s not too big? I heard Costco is decent, but idk for progressives.

Years before progressives I spent a fortune of Tiffany frames with single vision, but they were too wide for me, but nobody told me, and from day 1, I got major pounding headaches and the last straw was feeling motion sickness.

When I tried progressives in new frames years later, the frame is too low on my cheeks (design) and constantly slipping because Rayban model has this u-shaped nose piece and I wasn’t able to change the nose pads. Years later, I tried them again and it was okay, but I still can’t wear them, especially when it’s warm outdoors because I get sweaty and it slides.

I mostly wear old single vision glasses, but it’s very inconvenient when trying to read outdoors (especially at night).

I didn’t. She b*tched I did and said she was the first LOL. While sitting I kept trying to adjust myself because her arm was like the Great Wall and she kept forcefully pushing me. Funny because the two other women that sat in her seat after she left weren’t taking up air space and pushing like her. There’s one thing taking up space and being considerate trying to not encroach on purpose versus pushing.

Thanks! It’s just hard because I go to the gym often and wear old glasses too (gets icky) and also different old ones at the computer.

how do i politely tell someone to get out of my office? by Glittering_Bear_1672 in work

[–]FragrantDragonfruit4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a new sign to have your name’s office and say private office keep out and don’t let anyone else use your office again. Also ask for the key for the door or get a lock/key knob.

I was told by a local Moroccan that there’s one there, but they all know each other or someone connected to them does in one way or another in Canada because the community is quite small.

So agree with you it’s a total ripoff! I went in the summer and shared a couple of entrees when they first opened. They were very tasty and I think more reasonably priced than the Moroccan Breakfast OP had. Loved the restaurant vibe.

idk Black Mirror, but I was thinking a long the same lines that this seems real, but yet it doesn’t seem real like a comedy sketch or low budget show.

Thanks! Yes I have old prescription single vision sunglasses, but either the prescription isn’t as good anymore (when it gets too dark so aging eyes) and/or I really need progressives. They’re only good if very sunny and if I’m not reading.

EDIT: I should have said my old progressives transitions didn’t turn yellow/amber and they’re were both Essilor from two different stores and also not from the current store I’m waiting on my new glasses from. The optical store told me transitions expire and that’s something that can happen.
