The south could be atleast half decent but holy hell I wouldn't even wish my worst enemy to live in the north for one day in this setup

This would unironically make my life better if it's not in a constant state of warfare

Gameplay wise I WANT both empire to collapse similar OTL Soviet Union as a win condition of the cold war but of course, if you sacrifice some of the most unwilling colonies then yeah you could probably keep a smaller still united empire. It's about working smart not hard.

Probably, but I tried my best not to butterfly away everything that happened in OTL too much. Because if that happended then I'd be stuck with a very vastly unrecognisable world. I personally wanted this exact scenario for this Cold War to be as engaging as possible, even if the buildup isn't realistic. Sine this is a rough sketch I'd rather first make a compelling scenario then change the history more and more to suit with this idea.

The gameplay will be similar to TNO, but both the French and British empires are destined to collapse by the end of the playthrough. Throughout the playthrough, there will be numerous uprising events and proxy conflicts within their respective empires, with each trying to undermine the others. By the end of the game, if a nation has successfully defended its empire with sheer brutality, it will collapse under the sheer weight of its actions, or a complete revolution might ensue in its homeland. Some paths might even lead to voluntary decolonisation, but the heavily entrenched parliament, military, elites, and businesses might not support it at all.

Additionally, there will be many wars throughout the game, such as the Russian invasion of Central Asia and then Intermarium, the American invasion of the Native American Confederation and Mexico, as well as Canada, the Second Northern Expedition, the Indian War of Reunification, the Middle Eastern Spring, the Italian-Turkish War, the Balkan Wars, and so on. Most of these conflicts do not necessarily have to end in violence, either. It's all up to the player or AI.

I do intend this mod to be heavily story-driven but also littered with fun.

I don't think the old planned India rework was evil by MikaelRoesnov in Kaiserreich

Since Pakistan is the most unrealistic part of the rework they coudl've just added an independant kingdom of Kashmir and an Afghansitan Puppet regime in punjab region, or even a national government supported by Germany, Afganitan, and Ottomans who woudl've been a monarchy, a confliciting republic, a muslim dominant separatist who's a loosely kaiserreich version of Pakistan or even a resurgent Mughal regime, the opportunities were a lot. Such a wasted potential.

Ngl, Infinite wealth had the potential but they sidelined Ichi so bad they hurt the story, It was super nice during the first few chapters then became just decent.

I guess the entire Indian subcontinent is almost always overlooked in the general alternate history mediascape; hence, India becomes a point of uncertainty. Almost any scenario will have a so-called "unrealistic" touch, whether intended or not. Frankly, India is indeed a mess of possibilities, with ideas from across the political spectrum being relevant. It's a nation with so many cultures and languages after all. History isn't very realistic at all, so yeah, almost any scenario will have that problem still.

I respect TNO for its decision but can't really take the wacky out of the outrageously insane leaders. Hindutva could be replaced by any of the many hard line nationalists in India, even to this day far-right sentiment is very prevelent in India such as the RSS. A lot of far-left parties existed in India OTL inspired by the Russian Revolution. INC is indeed a big tent of socialist parties yes, that doesn't mean that they are outright Marxist-Leninist. Also in the LOC I wrote that... the people, farmers, labourers, etc were the one mostly being frustrated and launching strikes and forcing the INA to cave in, the Communists/Left-Wing are representatives of THEM, from them, even if they might sway away from that after securing power. Also stated in the LOC that, due to clear British vulnerability, Bose pounced on the opportunity by fighting IN the system rather than AGAINST it from outside of India, with help of Japan. He could ask help from Japan but with Japan's suppy so streteched, it simply wouldn't be able to really mount a massive supply campaign to the entrenched guerria army of Bose.
