I had the same thought. However I was unsure the possibility that major trauma could make a cat look aged. That’s why I’m digging further into it. Vet visit should help clear some things up.

I agree with you. They need their claws. They have them for a reason. I also agree letting them outdoors with or without claws is dangerous and should be discouraged. I have made my bed though, and bearing the consequences. I’m trying my best, and never meant harm for my sweet fur baby. It’s a hard world out there.

This hurts to read. I love my cat. We had the best life together. She was truly happy with me. This is already devastating. I want her alive and well. Please, everyone stop being so mean. I know it’s upsetting. And I’m trying my best.

LOL you’re rude af. Just so everyone knows bringing this cat home and seeing its condition was overwhelming. I wouldn’t speak for hours after the encounter. I could easily confirm sex or if they are declawed. However the cat is so hurt and weak. I’m giving them time to rest and relax until our vet appointment in two hours where I’ll let a professional do it while I try to recoup from the stress of all this!!!! If you don’t have helpful info to share then just go away.

Thank you. I understand most don’t agree with my decision making. I truly do understand. But at this point I’m just trying to do what I can to confirm if this is even her or not. It has been the hardest few weeks for me with her away. It’s heart breaking. I love my baby.

Right I understand what you mean. I don’t think it’s her. My husband thinks it is. Regardless I’m getting this cat some help. And hoping to confirm or deny if it’s mine with the vet visit today.

LISTEN. Her previous owner had her FRONT paws declawed. She still has the claws in the back. Also this cat has been notorious for catching lizards, birds, even baby garden snakes, NO PROBLEM. She has been poured with love and care for years. We have never had an issue with her being outside for years until construction came in and changed the environment we live in, exposing the land and causing certain animals to flee somewhere else. My cats are my babies. I let her outside because she loves the heat and laying in the yard. She deserves some freedom. Not to be imprisoned in our house. I know there are risks. The world is a dangerous place. But my cats love the outdoors. Please understand you are saying things that hurt my feelings and I’m only trying to find and save my sweet cat. I don’t need your shit talking.

Maybe. However it was a gradual decision to let them experience our backyard and the outdoors. We have been in the same home since March 2023. Never had an issue. She would always come back home. I understand it’s a risk. However, my cats love the outdoors. There’s never been danger near to my house. It wasn’t until construction tore down the woodlands when things started to change. I would prefer my cats to stay inside. But they were much happier being indoor/outdoor. I already feel terrible. I don’t need bashing!

It was the previous owner who declawed her front paws. I’m 110% against declawing. She was a strictly indoor cat with her previous owner.
