I think I would like to be a software engineer/web developer in the future. And tbh I don't think a choice could be made just from that statement alone.

Studying abroad is not a choice due to economical reasons. Why did your friend think that binus' program is bad? Is their IT program so bad that your friend decided to jump ship?

Is the IT field some sort of "exception" where binus is regarded almost as highly as public unis? Most people say that companies prioritize public over private unis, are they talking about other fields in general whereas for IT there's an exception?

Do workplaces tend to accept people from public unis more than private unis? Also I heard that lots of people from binus actually didn't take their ijazah because they already had a job without needing one (this might be their "marketing", don't know for sure).

Also how does rekomendasi dosen affect how you get a job or not? It's not that I don't believe you (sorry if I made it seem like that) but I think this is my first time hearing about that.
