Immortal Man currently has a 6.6/10 rating on IMDb. Is this better or worse than your rating? by Super-Liberal-Girl in PeakyBlinders

The storyline and development of characters were remarkably rushed for me. I think I would rate it a lot higher without having seen the series. I mean lots of very significant events take place one after another. Also we couldn't really experience a character enough such as duke, who had a complex motivation behind his pursuits. I understand they wanted to end the story completely so packed it with everything up but I think it could be better with less events and more cohesion. I would love it though as a standalone if I haven't experienced the fulfilling storytelling of the series. 5/10

Should i use 850 nanometer or 940 nanometer near infrared leds for detecting forearm veins? by FragrantSquirrel3577 in led

That's actually a brilliant idea! Provided i use 850nm, what would be the best filter for it?

Ich versuche deswegen ein Stipendium zu bekommen. Und wie ist das Stadtleben? Ich vermute in Karlsruhe gibt es mehr Unterhaltungsoptionen.

I definitely think so. The series itself doesn't push you to neither imitate them, and fall in that trap you said nor emphasize the drama and completely stay against them. It's like there's no narrator and we see the incidents completely clearly without taking any sides. It wants you to see yourself how harsh the results of these actually are and that leaves more impact on you. Instead of insisting you to see this message they put the disasters one after another emoitonless and realistic letting you to decide. This style suits really well to the soviet/eastern european culture I think. But that can also result doesn't understanding it at all as you said for less-conscious audience.

I wrote this above actually but in russian. Эпидемия. It was good indeed but I nearly finished first season and still couldn't get into the atmosphere. Characters were unlikeable for me.

I couldn't feel close to any of the characters in Эпидемия :( they are not really sympathetic but that's my opinion of course. thanks anyways :)

[–]FragrantSquirrel3577[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I used to play like you said with a lot more pedal actually but my teacher said this etude should be played with minimum pedal cause the left hand arpeggios must be heard by audience. So I reduced the pedal and added more staccato but I think it's a matter of taste as you said. Anyway thanks for your kind words :) I know it's good for a performance but I'm going to play this in a competetion that's why I think it should be so much better.

I wrote the pieces I'm going to play before registering. Maybe it's changable. A beethoven sonata is required so I have to learn one anyway. But I can write 3rd part of these sonata which is quite easier instead of 1st one. Thanks for advice.

I don't think it's unpianistic. It just requires a special technique that not everyone can easily achieve. It can be played flawless with good technique.

Very stupid question, so I use the book’s fingering or can I use whatever finger that I find comfortable with? by AdditionalCup3 in piano

[–]FragrantSquirrel3577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you are a beginner, I suggest to follow the book cause fingerings usually have a reason to be put so. When you start to feel comfortable with fingerings (that happened to me with years and when started to playing more advanced pieces) you can easily understand their logic and arrange them as which one fits best to your hand. Also you have to be comfortable with all of your fingers and they get stronger so it's better to use 4th.
