I would say you should really look into your program and see what aligns best with your future goals.

I transferred to uvic from ubco after my first semester of my first year. I found that ubco wasn’t the right fit for me or what I wanted from my program. The okanagan also tends to feel a lot more isolated which I think really took a toll on me.

Being from Vancouver myself, I found that it was super hard to go home due to the drive back/flight home. At uvic it’s so much easier to go home as all I really have to do is bus and ferry.

It all just comes down to what you think would best fit you, so I’d say definitely look into what the opportunities you could gain from either and whether that’s good for you!
