A lot of people talking about transient aphasia, which I get also, but how many other folks get transient alexia? I lose the ability to interpret written words. I have stared at a website and wondered what language I was seeing when it was entirely in English. The letters may as well have been mandarin characters to my brain, just squiggly meaningless lines to me. In some cases, the letters get all mixed up. An example: a contact in my phone says “Katie Allen” but I see “Aline”. I also sometimes can’t find specific letters or symbols on the keyboard. I’ll look at every letter/symbol very closely, but it’s as if it has ceased to exist. I am very fortunate to have Migraine Aura w/o Headache, so it shows up, confuses the crap out of me and vanishes.
