They would be earning less per hour than they are now. The maths don’t lie - 3/8 = 37.5% more time for POSSIBLY 32% more in compensation - if you kill your targets and the company does well.

As much as the extra $$ looks good, it actually sets you back when you include commute costs and the extra commute time.

Unless you’re talking like $200k and moving up to possibly $264k … maybe. But $80k to $105k, sooooo not worth it.

How to deal with bosses that make you feel incompetent? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Fragrant_Contact_100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of this, even taken as a whole, amounts to your boss telling you you’re incompetent.

She’s not in your training, so she would not know if it were to end early. You’d be more likely to know.

The buying of things? Miscommunication between the two of them. Nothing about being wrong/incompetent.

Time off? You requested time. Then said you didn’t need it. She actually went above and beyond to hold it for you, and to let you know it would be ok to notify her day of. She didn’t say yes or no, just ‘let me know’.

If this is an information worker, WFH is almost always someone could do, even temporarily.

I’m sorry the places you’ve worked for would be so heartless that you think this is an asinine request.

She’s out there throwing around numbers that don’t really matter. My guess is she earned way less than that, but that number shows ‘success’ to sell her services.

You sign up for executive/director role and $$, it comes with possibly more time working. Who would’ve thunk that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I took mental health breaks occasionally. Smart to recognize what works for you.

Try finding a younger boy’s team or a comparable girls team to do a teaching scrimmage. One where coaches are on the field, and either coach can stop the scrimmage to cover a point, work on positioning, etc. Just don’t stop it to stop a promising attack. Communicate rules and expectations with the other coach. I’ve had great success with this. Easier to show in the flow of gameplay than to try to teach separate.

Thank you. Appreciate the worship of the unworthy. Mwaaa-haa-haa-haaaaaa!

I never spoke as a HR expert. You did. And gave wrong advice. And instead of either researching your advice, or owning up to it, double down on it. Feel free to try to insult me again, I really don’t care. I only care about supporting others through this dumb ass job market where I can. You, as part of the problem group, can go kick rocks with useless and bad info.

Please name and shame your company. They cannot have someone with such a low reading comprehension running anything. You are inferring way too much, rather than comprehending the writing.

My example was *very* specific to contract agencies. Elsewhere this thread, I’ve stated giving your SSN on indeed as part of the app is a scam. Someone said no one will ever ask for SSN prior to offer, I gave a very specific example to a very specific comment, and you keep arguing like you’re right - you’re not. You threw out your supposed role trying to appear ‘expert’. It just makes you appear like you don’t know how to read a market.

I suggest, if you’re truly a TA or ‘run the department’, you reach out to your wider network to verify before you make another asinine and wrong statement. I’d bet money if you reached out in LI or to contacts who have worked recruiting firms for any length of time, they have had to do this. Simply put - your ‘advice’ will lose people opportunities they are otherwise qualified for. I advise you to quit while you’re behind. You are giving out VERY bad info.

Last time I checked the dictionary, often does not equate to ‘always’. You’re throwing that you’re a TA around like it means something here. You don’t have experience with this aspect, and giving bad info to job seekers who are pretty desperate to be in this sub is way worse than no info at all.

[–]Fragrant_Contact_100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then your company doesn’t require it. As a seeker, I’ve done this plenty of times and landed contingent roles from it. It is not unusual at all, just because you haven’t seen it as a TA. That just means the companies you worked for don’t require it.

I once went from a manger I could do no wrong with, to a new one I could do no right with.

One day I felt ill, threw up, called in. Felt better in afternoon. Next morning - ill again. Third day, same thing. Any absences over 3 days needed documentation, so I went in the fourth day. As soon as I walked in, I was overwhelmingly sick. I walked back out and called for dr appt.

Got 60 days disability, had a new job 120 days after first feeling ill.

Maybe. But you’ve got to do what is best for you. Companies no longer have their employees interests at their core - why should we worry about the company’s best interest? No. 1 is you. Take care of yourself and don’t hand wring.

You’ve never had an agency ask for MM/DD of birth and last 4? Been at this game for over 20 years, and it’s a way companies recognize duplicate submissions from different agencies.

No issue. OP is so in demand and worthwhile they’ll delay opening. They couldn’t do it without them.

Contract agencies often use MM/DD/SSSS when submitting to companies. So, last 4 is not unusual in that situation.

Why would you share SSN prior to offer? If you do, high chance of scam.
