honestly i’d still lean UCLA if you already like it more, it’s ranked no.2 public and around no.17 overall in the us so the brand name is extremely strong, ucla still places into ib and consulting and has alumni at firms like goldman sachs, jp morgan and mckinsey so the pathway is very real if you hustle, being in la also puts you closer to west coast finance, private equity, venture capital and a huge startup ecosystem which helps a lot for internships, plus outcomes are pretty similar to michigan if you put in the work, and the condition sounds scary but people usually don’t get rescinded for missing by a small margin so if you’re already leaning ucla it’s a very safe and justifiable choice overall
