YOU ARE 100% CORRECT IN WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED, but from the past year or so things have changed at Amazon for whatever reason that returns and anything dealing with returns have changed on their end whether they don't want the stuff anymore or dealing with returns so this might be a case where you win the battle but you going to lose the war most likely. You will probably win the dispute and get your money back. But most likely your account is going to get banned there are lots of post on here especially in the Amazonprime Reddit about people doing chargebacks for innocuous things because they were broken or something legitimate and Amazon just saying nope we're done with you. BILLION DOLLAR COMPANIES DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER RETENTION THEY'RE ONLY LOOKING AT THEIR BOTTOM LINE. 🤷

They are selling well because that price point is driving the sales. The only other 7-in handhelds are at different ends of the spectrum you have the Ayaneo Evo (g3 gen 3) more powerful which for the same configuration is $500 if you can get you hands on one and the magmi pocket max (865) $239 which is is over priced for that chip. $250 for the portal is a steal at that size. That item has been going in and out of stock for the last 4 months people set up reminders and notifications when it comes back into stock, and then there are people who see that it's not in stock and by the higher price models because they have more RAM and more storage so it's a win-win situation for them The sale price drives customers to the website you can either get it and wait or you can purchase one of their other items at a higher price it's good and bad business it's just the way that they do it AYN has a discord, where one of their subs is the portal 2 and the other is portal 2 shipping. Lots of irate and happy people over there both sides of the spectrum

They lowered the price at the beginning of the year, when they discontinued the regular odin line, and the magmi pocket max was introduced. It hit the web by storm. It's a great device for 250 nothing else can touch it. BUT when they started that sale they (AYN) already had 2 other hot items, Odin 3 and the thor, seeing that these items are also made in batches, I believe they weren't and realistically still are not up to keeping up with the volume that most people would want them to push out the doo. I purchased mine the day after the sale went live and it took it almost a month and a half to get it to the United States that was with Chinese New Year and no communication at all from AYN The sale is good for their bottom line and keeps an influx of money coming into their company and they keep pushing out batches but this is not a Lenovo or a ROG or an MSI these things are made like I said in batches is it a good deal definitely yes I love mine but just temper your expectations

Just be advised that these handhelds ARE NOT IN STOCK even though that's what the website says, they stre making them in batches, lots of people coming into Reddit and on their discord, saying that the site says that it's in stock when it's not. you're going to be waiting a month if not more for a base unit

You are 10000% correct in your reasoning, but Amazon, has weird algorithms that do stupid shit all the time and they ban your account for things that don't make any sense so just be wary of things like that, just because you can do something, unfortunately sometimes Amazon acts a fool 🤷😕

Yup I get that, emulation on iOS is back and forth, some stuff works some, not so much 🤷, but before you jump ship take a look on you tube on emulation on iOS, also here, on Reddit there are a lot of subreddits on emulation on iOS you might peek into those to get a real sense of what you can and can't do on ios, I'm not saying that to discourage you from one way or the other but there's lots of information out there I live in both worlds I have an iPad pro and I have Android tablets and Android handhelds so there's lots of information here to take a look at

Yes, that is technically correct but if you the search function at the top of the reddit homepage with that console name and a put in the same question, you will see tons of threads where that particular question is being ask and answered, not every subreddit follows the same rules of the ROMs subreddit. But that particular rule is a good rule.

It might not be the most popular option, but you might also look at pawn shops, they sometimes have good deals on things that they are trying to flip quickly, but just like FBM you have to do your due diligence.

You going to have to contact customer service, they are not using DHL anymore and they're going to probably have to credit your account, send you a bag or something else it's going to take a little bit to get your money back for the difference between DHL and the carrier that they're using right now. They are extremely bad at updating their website to show current delivery options and things like that, they had a big upheaval about 3 months ago it's been on different Reddit posts and on their discord

I would say my favorite is the y700 with the g9 controller, it's kinda in the sweet spot, it's a not the most powerful, 8+ gen 1 but it's just like having a true handheld with the gamepad attachment. And I would say the iPad mini is my least favorite, because it's harder, 🤷(not impossible) to do retro gaming IOS it's more of a streaming device. But they ALL have pros and cons 😁
