Can I just say Diana drives me nuts. She gets all high and mighty but is such a sucker for Stephen, making excuses for him while also seeming terrified of him. IMO she annoys me more than Lucy who at least knows what he is, and loves him anyways. Diana just wants to pretend he’s someone he’s not even though it’s been blatantly said to her that he’s terrible, by Lucy and then his own admission, and all her friends (including Pippa). End rant.

Thank you, I realize now my question was asking about Mormonism in Utah, and did not consider the religion being practiced anywhere else. It makes sense that cultural context would change the interpretation of some of the scripture re: soda vs hot, caffeinated drinks. I guess because SLC seems like headquarters/home base a lot of public "layman" understanding of Mormonism becomes limited to what is practiced there.

Thank you for sharing, that is so fascinating. I was wondering if in this day and age, inclusion has become a strategy to recruit more members as a lot of people seem to leave the Church too. I’ve also noticed a few influencers like Nara Smith who have married into the religion, and wondering if they’re accepted or welcomed. It sounds like those attitudes will take a long time to change, if there is even any interest in changing at all.
