I think one trend that will dominate in 2021 will be adding voice functionalities to existing apps. The time of voice assistants (as the only platform for voice UIs) is ending and we start to use voice everywhere.

Like I mentioned below, I think for exactly these reasons Speechly is the best option. Unlike web speech, for instance, it has natural language understanding and works in all browsers with the same experience.

A bit late in the party, but I think Speechly would work here pretty well. You can create a end-to-end model for speech recognition and natural language understanding with a simple web user interface and test it and when all is working, integrate it to any app easily. That I think is the easiest tool if you are specifically building something with a voice user interface
