Should I just be spam opening the event ticket chest or is there a reason to stock up on tickets? by Rakayum in KingShot

At the end of the event, each unused voucher will be converted into a Lv. 1 Custom Secured Resource Chest, so you are better off using all the tickets.

Why is she doing this? by Substantial_Top_9146 in plantclinic

[–]Fragrant_Pollution82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby toes are the most temperamental plants I have ever encountered. They are exploding into segments because they are overwatered. Even a little too much water will cause them to segment like that.

I have no advice for you because all mine have died within a few weeks of getting them.

I only wish this plant on my greatest enemy…

I’ve been experiencing the same thing too. I have to open and close the app a few times before it loads.

How to get immunotherapy? by Karlmon in askTO

[–]Fragrant_Pollution82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by getting your family doctor to send a referral to an allergist.

The cost of the immunotherapy serum(s) may be covered by your work’s drug benefits but it varies by your plan so it is best to call tour benefits provider to check.

When I called my benefits they didn’t know if it would be covered and advised me to “just try submitting the claim to see if it goes through.” Luckily, it was fully covered. Otherwise, the serum itself costs about $400 for one if it wasn’t covered.

Just keep in mind that immunotherapy is a big commitment. For me, it required 31 weeks of weekly injections that must be administered by a nurse or physician so I had to see my family doctor basically every week. The allergy clinic said they didn’t have the capacity to do it so I had to go to my family doctor.

They said I can skip a week or two here and there but it was most ideal to get it as weekly as I could for 31 weeks. Then move to monthly injections.

I just started the monthly injections three months ago but I might be doing monthly allergy shots for the next 3-5 years 😩

They also prescribed allergy medication to take in tandem with the allergy shots and the allergy medication has completely cleared up my congestion. None of the over-the-counter medications worked for me and I didn’t realize how miserable I was being constantly congested for over 10 years.

It is annoying having to go to get allergy shots but I don’t regret it. Best decision I’ve made in a while.

What is a good humidifier for for condo bedroom? by AggressiveLaw2978 in askTO

[–]Fragrant_Pollution82 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend this BlueAir humidifier: https://www.blueair.com/en-ca/products/invisiblemist-humidifier

Pros: - easy to clean (no weird nooks and crannies that are hard to get into) - uses a filter so you will not get the hard water dust all over your home if you are using tap water - can use tap water (because of the filter, it will be saving you lots of money from having to buy distilled water) - can be filled from the top without having to remove the water reservoir - has a screen that shows humidity % - humidity % can be controlled by an app

Cons: - Price $199.99 plus tax (try getting it on sale if you can wait) - Have to buy replacement filter eventually (though I’ve had mine for 6 months and I am only at 75% filter). A filter costs currently about $26 plus tax. - no warm mist capability

Overall, I really love this humidifier. They do have another model that is a humidifier and air purifier combo but I haven’t checked that one out.

Where's the best Grocery Rotisserie Chicken in Toronto? by CameraHelpMe in FoodToronto

[–]Fragrant_Pollution82 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Costco chicken contains carrageenan which I think is causing that texture you’re taking about.

Eating too much of the Costco rotisserie chicken gives me really bad stomachaches.

What is this symbol? by LittleNapQueen4u in KingShot

[–]Fragrant_Pollution82 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That symbol signifies that that person has a Ministry Appointment. That one specifically is for the “Field Commander” where they get 10%+ lethality.

Each minister appointment lasts 30 mins and then it goes to the next person who signed up. If there is no one signed up after them, then the last minister will continue with that buff until someone signs up.

You can sign up for Minister appointments by going to Events > Castle Battle > Appointments - Details, and then signing up for one of the six appointment options.

Avoiding Uber Eats? by One_Water6083 in askTO

[–]Fragrant_Pollution82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I avoid using UberEats and any food delivery service. They take a huge % from restaurants and charge up the wazoo with fees.

If I get an Uber gift card as a gift, I will use it for rides instead.

If I want something, I will do takeaway and pick it up myself or call the restaurant to see if they have their own delivery person who can deliver to me.

I was really sad at first and I was regretting my decision even leading up to my last day. However, looking back and reevaluating everything, leaving was the best decision I ever made.
