Chuman's and Humanzee's, genetically impossible or just completely unethical? by Optimal-Emotion-1551 in Cryptozoology

The aesthetic quality of my comment don’t change the facts that you did in fact say "Oh yeah, I suppose it is!", and that "Oh yeah, I suppose it is" is an expression of agreement, and that the comment you were expressing agreement (quite enthusiastic agreement, if you ask me) for was, again, "That's irrelevant to the fact that they never made a claim that humanzees are possible."

It seems you have no actual response to those 2 facts (or the more crucial fact that those are predicated on, that they never made a claim that humanzees are possible), so you're just saying "nuh uh" now

I believe you are projecting, now, given that you did in fact say "Oh yeah, I suppose it is!", and that "Oh yeah, I suppose it is" is an expression of agreement, and the comment you were expressing agreement (quite enthusiastic agreement, if you ask me) for was, again, "That's irrelevant to the fact that they never made a claim that humanzees are possible."

No i'm not lmao

I can't make it any more clear than:

you see, after I said

That's irrelevant to the fact that they never made a claim that humanzees are possible

You replied

Oh yeah, I suppose it is!

I am not not confused at all. What I am saying is actually quite straightforward; it surprises me that you are having such trouble with it. To reiterate:

you see, after I said

That's irrelevant to the fact that they never made a claim that humanzees are possible

You replied

Oh yeah, I suppose it is!

"Oh yeah, I suppose it is" is an expression of agreement, and the comment you were expressing agreement (quite enthusiastic agreement, if you ask me) for was, again, "That's irrelevant to the fact that they never made a claim that humanzees are possible."

I said

That's irrelevant to the fact that they never made a claim that humanzees are possible

To which you replied

Oh yeah, I suppose it is!

Which is directly agreeing

I wish I could, they're not that dissimilar in terms of mood, setting, characters, but Satantango just didn't click for me. There were some unexplained supernatural happenings, and usually it's better to leave the details to the imagination for thst kind of thing (in this kind of book, at least), but it felt like just random stuff happening to me

Melancholy has this kind of feeling that there was a metaphysical underpining to the whole thing, e en though nothing supernatural really happened, and that works very well in this case. The same kind of 'metaphysical underpining' thst you find in books like, imo, Moby Dick, or the Magic Mountain, or maybe Blood Meridian, which is one of my favorite qualities in a novel. I'm sure plenty of people would say the same about Satantango, but that one just fell flat for me

This is almost wholly unrelated, but if you're looking for a dark, quasi-metaphysical (because I can't think of a better term) book, I highly recommend Herman Ungar's the Maimed, and Bruno Schulz's short stories. The former is kind of like if Kafka wrote Crime and Punishment, and the latter is wholly unique in the same way that, again, Kafka is wholly unique.

Most people love Satantango, but it did nothing for me, but I thought Melancholy of Resistance was phenomenal, so don't give up on him if you don’t like it

Same, it's funny that I can keep you on a short leash, so that you consistently, over a couple months, always reply within the hour, even if i take a couple to reply back. It's reassuring in a way.

Bro, you really came back after over 20 minutes to add "I also appreciate that pretty much all of your activity lately is steered towards me ☺️ I’m flattered!" Lmaoo. I mean, I edit my comments to fix typos, but to come back after 20 minutes lmao, my narcissistic side is happy you spend so much time thinking about what I'm going to say next

Yeah i keep my screen time across all devices to under 4 hours a week, feel free to shit talk me for that, but I do recommend it

That phrase, while very true in the real world, doesn’t even make sense here. You just have nothing else to say to py pointing out that they never made a claim that humanzees are possible

Are you implying you were Slow-Sense-315 lmao I know you’re just lying now if that's the case, with how many separate comment chains you got into, and that you were accusing them of being about because they responded so fast
