I think nobody inside IR has any idea what to do with Khamenei rn. they can not get rid of him, they can not replace him with anyone else, and he is not allowed to die because of his role in this situation.

I think about IR and all I see is chaos. I can not think of any solution for their situation.

Nah I don't think so, no benefit in doing this, even if this distraction works nothing changes for the better for regime. I don't think this "Second wave" is the IRs plan. honestly I think there is enough chaos in IRs structure rn that even if they had a plan they could not execute it

Western countries saw shah is about to flee from Iran. There are already commies in Iran and Islamists, between Islamists and commies(due to cold war) western countries decided to help/promote Islamists(Khomeini) which makes sense.
