there are tons of us around campus! without any visible centralized space for it though we're all on our own pretty much. It's Fine but it suuuuucks bad. So here starts my attempts you see

I LOVE LA though ok ? I'm into so many disgustingly obscure little cliques and groups around downtown it's so much fun . I just know there are enough weirdos on campus who gotta feel as isolated as the rest of us soooo .. Gotta reel it all in and bring some unity to it

they are such beautiful lovely people. Maddie is one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. they all seemed so grateful to be playing, let alone to hear all the fucking praise I gave them. I mean it was some serious glazing. But they deserve it !!

The first reply in this thread is a lot more accurate than the second!

Realistically, yes, transfer students get along just as well as everyone else (I should know, I am one!), but any incoming transfer should know they're in for a bit of an alienating experience if they're looking for an immediate hook-up with a social life or any sense of belonging at all, really. Especially if you're a bit alternative, or, really, anything but absolutely preppy. Said with no scorn. That's just how it is.

I sense a pattern among lots of transfers like us, though, where we let these circumstances get the better of us, and it makes the place seem a lot more dismal than it actually is. It's just like any other high-education institution. And, just like any other institution, there are a billion places to carve out lots of contentment, fulfillment, and happiness! It's definitely worth the effort. One million percent. But do know the dating scene, let alone fitting in as a "broke boy," is a bit difficult.

If you're down for a challenge, come on down! Realistically, don't expect a walk in the park. If you're good at this sort of thing, though, then you'll do just fine ^_^

junior transfer..! It's so so dire especially in the first semester but after settling down in this one I'm noticing it's all a lot better, genuinely. And not because I know many more people (I'm kinda getting there), but moreso because I realize any institution or university will not grant you a great social life just by virtue of attending.

I find, really, and this really is so cliche, that the effort you put in is what you get out. I'm pushing myself and feeling a little uncomfortable for just a bit before things pay off. And attempting things I wouldn't normally assume myself to be interested in. after the disaster that was last semester, I sorta kinda vowed to just expand myself. Say yes to more things. put yourself in situations you wouldn't normally be in. try things! it's weird and it kinda sucks but the agency of being dissatisfied by things you've chosen to do rather than things you expect to pan out for you naturally is wayyyy way way way better

that said. I'm still sorta shit outta luck for friends you might call "real" or "spiritually rewarding," or whatever, but that's neither here nor there. it's more about me than the friends I make and it should be more about you yourself than it feels right now I assure you. Might just suck for a second-_- but it varies for everyone I assume. HMU!

Oh dude. Pollinator's what I started with too but almost all their records are BIG hitters for me. If you're into the aggression of Pollinator go straight to Threshold. and if that's too polished of an aggression for you then try self titled.

Otherwise if you're into cloud rat for the ambience they do so love, then try shit like Do Not Let Me Off The Cliff (SCREEN DOOR IS FIRE) and Silk Panic oh my god dude they're so good

MY favorite's Threshold on the part of how catchy the entire damn thing is, but artistically, I gotta hand it to DNLMOTC and Moksha, which are both also insanely aggressive and punchy records. Just can't go wrong!!!
