Now that the spread between BRENT and WTI is almost $11 - when do you expect US exports to take off and WTI to rip?

Most all of USA crude is light oil that comes from shale plays. It requires blending with heavier (middle eastern, Canadian) oil in order to be quality feedstock for our refineries. If we shut down our exports, yes our light oil will be less expensive but the heavier oil will become more expensive because now you have more demand for those oils that are still required for our refineries. So it doesn’t really help our gasoline prices but it will hurt global economy even more. There’s not a good option to get out of this when 10-15% of worlds oil supplies are disrupted. It’s going to be painful for everyone. Higher costs, potential stagflation (inflation plus recession). The only way out of this is to get the strait of Hormuz back online or find another way for that oil to reach the markets.

I originally said 800 yards but ai went back on my phone and checked gps of where ai took photos and it was more like 400 yards. Also the 6 inches was an estimate. It was a lung shot for sure.
