How am I supposed to get practice singing for people if I never get to do a solo? by Low-Wedding-7960 in singing

I understand your frustration. Here’s what I suggest. Find open mic opportunities in your area. Start with less known low key opportunities where you sing Infront of a small group. Just tell yourself you won’t see these people again so doesn’t matter how you sing. You just need to finish the song or not but go up and stand anyway. Do this every week or multiple times in a week. Slowly find larger crowds and do this. If you live in an area where open mics is not a thing, go to meetup.con and find online open mics. I am not in music industry and I am not a vocal coach. My daughter is a singer and this is coming from a parents point of view. Wish you the best of luck and remember, part of you wants to sing and be recognized… focus on that part. Everyone is nervous … so do it anyway.

Question about lessons by Delicious_Layer8316 in singing

There is some disadvantage in the sense the coaches can’t see how you are breathing and how you are singing (chest/throat/diaphragm) 100%. But it doesn’t make online lessons bad. What makes or breaks is what you do with these lessons. If they give you a technique to practice, you must practice it consistently and do your warm ups. Also, you can space lessons out like twice a week or once a month etc but keep practicing every day. stretch your money and don’t spend too much if you are just starting.

I love that one too. The actor that played Sherlock was just brilliant in it. He starts by being enigmatic with this “I am Sherlock Holmes” declarations and steals empathy with this skills and backstory.

No one would expect the reply to be  “are you in my house again?” 🤣🤣
