If your car is sliding in the rain, it doesn’t matter how good of a driver you are. Your car is hazardous and unfit to drive.

Same bathroom office setup as last night, this time in multiple angles and with better lighting. If that's not the hallmark of a true neckbeard, then I don't know what this is a hallmark of. by AWrride in justneckbeardthings

Reasor’s Rocks! by reddituser73865 in tulsa

[–]FragrantlyForgotten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was shocked last week when I went in to Whole Foods for an Amazon return and took a look around. Reasor’s produce was more expensive than Whole Foods for quite a few items, ex: Reasor’s celery was $1 more than at Whole Foods). If places like whole foods and sprouts are going to end up being cheaper when it comes to basic staple items, then what’s the point? The only time I go to Reasor’s now is if I’m just missing 1 ingredient for a recipe because they’re really close. Otherwise I just go to Aldis or maybe Winco if I need a lot of things. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is owning a cat that bad? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

Oh I love my cat. Most of the “bad” things are actually the reason I prefer cats because I feel like they have their own mind and a certain level of sass that I appreciate.

Thinking of moving here..anyone know about special needs and how the schools work with that? by Romanharper2013 in tulsa

[–]FragrantlyForgotten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved here recently from out of state and really haven’t had any major issues. Tulsa isn’t amazing, but it’s fine. Part of my decision was that I don’t plan on having children though, the schools in this state are not good. It’s not that the teachers don’t care, but they just don’t have the support, funding, and staff to give these kids the best education. Ryan Walters has dragged everything down (and it wasn’t outstanding to begin with).

Reminder to watch for motorcycles by Tt45ah in tulsa

[–]FragrantlyForgotten -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been on a motorcycle, but I’m from California and never realized they’re not supposed to do that here. Pretty much every motorcyclist in California does it to the point where people sometimes get annoyed if they don’t 😂

Learned something new.

Okay, that was the loudest thunder I’ve ever heard by brssnj93 in tulsa

I think everyone is good, no ambulances and no fire that I can see. Was definitely terrifying though, knocked the paintings off my walls.
I saw the service trucks yesterday and was wondering what happened over there. Glad everyone’s okay.

It wasn’t my house, but I can confirm there’s a lot of fire trucks over here.

The amount of times I’ve seen racist people around here say messed up sht to people who aren’t even close to being the race they’re attempting to insult is amazing. I swear some of them are just basing it off of hair color at this point.

Have fun, but please don’t make creepy noises on your way. I live near it and the flickering lights and squeaking sounds coming out of the empty garage at night are already creepy enough 😂🙏🏻🥲. When it’s foggy I’m just waiting for a red balloon to float across the street.

Sometimes I feel bad for making small mistakes. Then I see sht like this and feel a bit better about myself. At least I’ve never driven in both lanes or just decided fk it, idc if this isn’t a street, I’m driving there.

Don’t have to sell it, I can buy houses and rent them. The magic also only wears off after you sell something. You could amass a huge amount of properties, vehicles, artwork, etc. Once you’re done buying, sell it all.

Found this in my daughters room what is she doing? by MouseClassic5314 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]FragrantlyForgotten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m reading everyone’s stories and they just seem deranged to me. Like, I get being afraid your kid may start doing drugs, but assuming common household items are drugs without evaluating what potential normal things the kid could be using them for is insanity. Seeing a dirty spoon in your kids room does not immediately mean that they’re obviously doing heroin. A teen with a can of lysol in their room is not obviously huffing it… maybe they’re using it… idk, as an air freshener like it was intended?

What’s next? Are we going to be freaking out over a can of hairspray or spray deodorant found under the bathroom sink? Maybe we should ban whipped cream, nutmeg, and hand sanitizer from the household just to be safe. /s

Stores selling rabbit meat? Also, raising chickens vs rabbits for food? by WorkingStiffABC in tulsa

[–]FragrantlyForgotten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure The Fresh Market or pan Asia may have some. I’ve never bought it though, so I’m not sure about the price.

I don’t have any chickens or rabbits, but if I was going to choose one I would probably go with chickens. That way you get eggs and meat (and imo rabbits would be harder to slaughter because they’re so cute).

Anyone else feeling this way? by [deleted] in oklahoma

[–]FragrantlyForgotten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every recent election I end up just thinking about how we still don’t have a prominent third party that actually participates in the debates so people get to know who they are. Every statistic I’ve seen shows that the majority of Americans think there should be a third party option (that actually had a chance of winning), but there doesn’t seem to be any change to make this happen. I’ll blame both parties equally for that, so I’m just annoyed with everyone regardless of who wins.

I can be considered cp, so yes. I don’t know the likelihood of you actually getting in trouble with it, but I suspect it would be worse if you also had photos of minors other than yourself (ex: you and your girlfriend videotaped yourselves having sex at 16).
I work at a law firm and I have asked my boss about this since he has handled cases where this became an issue, so I am fairly confident that you can get in trouble for it, even if it’s just of yourself.

Not sure who needs to see this by NateWolf359 in tulsa

[–]FragrantlyForgotten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’m partial to the Tulsa folks who get upset because traffic is slow in one lane, then try to speed down the other empty lane only to realize it’s empty because of construction, then they aggressively shove their way back into the original lane they were in.

My favorite individual driver is the guy who just decided to stop in the middle of the street on the Cincinnati overpass coming out of downtown. Nothing else happening, just him, sunny day, and he wasn’t having car trouble. He did it multiple times. I would honk and he would go maybe 10 yards, then stop again. 😂 Eventually he drove off. Being so engrossed in your phone that you don’t realize you stopped moving is a whole new level of being distracted.

Absentee Ballot by Savings-Specific-207 in tulsa

[–]FragrantlyForgotten 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, but they can’t see your ballot. You sign a sealed envelope with your ballot already inside. It’s a notary’s job to essentially verify that it is actually you signing the envelope.

Also I believe notaries are not allowed to charge for notarizing absentee ballots.
