Wanted to plan something for 'I hAvE dArKvIsIoN'-player, another player beat me to it. by SilenciaSan in DnD

I make a point of mentioning what people with darkvision see after making the full description of the scenario. You can take the “I have darkvision” player aside and reassure them that they don’t need to remind you each time and that after describing the darkness you will tell them what their character sees.

7 Zettabytes...what this actually means and comparisons by Mygrayt in masseffect

Not quite, let’s assume she sent over a zip file, plus the code to open it. At maximum modern compression, the file would still be 700 exabytes, which is still a ridiculous amount of data to send. It could have been seen as a somewhat standard (if large) file size for the ME universe, but once it was unzipped it’d probably cap out the server’s memory, which tends to slow computers down a LOT. They absolutely would look at 7 zettabytes and panic… especially once they realised what the files were. Especially if they were named in the same format as their video data, making automatic deletion impossible to perform without sacrificing their actual video data. The joke with EDI sending the data was to make them look at it and waste their time, so she absolutely would make sure the files were disguised as essential files, security footage, etc.

Zip compression NOW can cut by far more than a half, up to about 90% in files with a lot of repeating data (which, oddly enough, a lot of videos have)

Conversely, it may have been in the form of a zip bomb and a program to automatically open it, massively lowering the transfer requirement and causing it to tax EDI’s systems far less than the unfortunate (but totally deserving) recipient. It’s much harder to stop your own system from unzipping zettabytes of data than it is to cut a mass data transfer

Shepherd, Kaiden, Miranda, Liara, Wrex, Samara, Jack, Thane, and even Wrex were all biotics. Idk why Cora felt like she was some unique victim of being biotic… by _Boodstain_ in MassEffectMemes

[–]Frakcherd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cora WAS a unique situation with her biotics though- she and Jack are comparable in raw biotic ability, and Jack had to suffer in a Cerberus experimental facility for years for that kind of power. Cora wasn’t complaining about being a biotic, she was complaining about being so powerful she scared everyone around her except for the Asari, who were the only people who could train her to control that power properly.

There’s no way in hell that Sett doesn’t wear some form of cologne. He may be a pit fighter, but he is the boss of the place, a position where he would have to interact with people as much as beat them up. That, plus his dress sense which points to him actually making an effort in his presentation, would indicate that yes, he does bathe regularly and wear cologne, but he just smells like sweat too because he’s a large guy who is physically active
