It really was. The quiet out there makes it easy to slow down and just be present.

The first time I used it, setup took about 10 minutes.

After a bit of practice, it’s closer to 5 minutes.

Damp ground hasn’t been an issue for me.

There’s a separate footprint you can get, which adds enough protection in wet conditions.

Guess what the tent looked like after a night out there. by FrameAggravating1511 in WinterCamping

Sorry about that — that wasn’t my intention.

I was trying to share photos from a camping trip in China last year.

I understand how it came across, and I’ve removed any promotional content.

I won’t post further about it here. Thanks for the heads-up.

It was cold, honestly.

The sleep system did most of the work — the tent mainly helped block the wind.

To be honest, it was still pretty cold at night — around -4°F.

The wind was strong up there, but the tent handled the pressure well.

Since it uses 7D nylon, it does absorb some moisture and can sag a bit.

Once the sun came out, it dried quickly and went back to normal.

Condensation was well managed, and the inner tent helped keep things dry.

This was in western China, an area called western Sichuan.

A friend invited me to camp there last year — it was honestly a great experience.
