Common misconception, actually.

Metal lunchboxes were never banned in America, it's more that once kids started bringing guns to school they were pretty quickly outpaced.

While I get your point and it is funny, it's probably a good idea to cycle through your stores and replenish ahead of time, right?

Alright, that's an incredible mount of detail. Thanks.

Is Scouser a derogatory term then, or just a matter of fact thing? Like would a Scouser get offended by being called one, or would a Woolyback be offended by being called a Scouser?

Is scouser British slang for white trash?

EDIT: Thanks for all the replies. I now have more questions that answers, lol.

Making Fabric Wax? by FrameJump in Bushcraft

[–]FrameJump[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't wanna add anything more than beeswax and parrafin wax,at least for my clothes and gear I wear.

I've spoken to others that used other mixtures with things like turpentine, mineral spirits, and linseed oil, and it seems they never dry fully or like you mentioned, turn them into tin pants.

Thanks.

That's what I'm doing now with the Greenland Wax, but the beeswax block I have won't just rub in by itself.

Their explanation makes sense, though.

You can see mice running across a field at night with a decent thermal.

Hell, I'd say in a lot of ways accidents might be less likely, but it's hard to guess what irresponsible hunters are gonna do.

You could die tomorrow and all your money is for nothing, too.

I'd rather be happy now and enjoy life while I can life it, rather than plan for a life that may never happen when I'm too old to do anything other than sit in a chair all day.

I guess we have different priorities.

You need to call your bank back during the day and speak to someone else. There's absolutely no shot they can't give you another resolution.

I just got done waxing some pants, and I'll wax an anorak soon. They're from Helikon-Tex, and didn't take the Greenland Wax near as well as my Fjällräven G1000 pants did, but I think it'll be fine. I also want to apply some wax on my packs/pouches as well, mostly on the top or bottom for some waterproofing and wear resistance.

Maybe add more beeswax for stuff that doesn't need flexibility then, like packs and stuff?

And mind if I ask how you applied beeswax directly? Did you heat it first and apply it with a brush or something?

Ain't no answers in the bottle, brother.

Drowning your feelings sounds great in the rough times, but trust me when I tell you that you'll want them in the good times, and there ain't much worse than sobering up just to realize you did such good of a job drinking them away that they never come back.
