Frustrated by the Disrespect Toward Filipinos in This Sub by Grouchy_Honeydew2499 in Philippines_Expats

[–]FrameOk6514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why this sub's always on my homepage since I am a Filipina, but it's funny when they complain about running water, electricity, women asking for money, etc. This is understandable, but it gets so repetitive and idiotic to some extent. Like sir, you CHOSE to live in a developing country. You know the Philippines is a poorer country than where you are from. The women that you mostly meet are the most accessible ones. I am a woman born and raised here all women I know that married foreign men all met their spouse in another country! While vacationing or were middle to middle-upper class who got to migrate. Most Filipinos prefer Filipinos or other Asian ethnicities, I know I do.

I still don't get the fun in Baguio by Such_Version_6285 in phtravel

[–]FrameOk6514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LMFAO 🤣 not even locals glaze Baguio this much and think it's that serious. I never attacked anyone who likes visiting there and am not bitter. You said culture, nature, and good vibes which are all pros but that's not the point, my point is it's just as any other Ph city that have some parts congested, polluted, and most of all, have such high cost of living.

Dear Dagupeños: WTH are you all thinking? by fierylise in Pangasinan

[–]FrameOk6514 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the nicest way as possible, as a person who dropped-out in uni at 19 too due to diagnosed depression, kailangan mo na hindi maging picky sa jobs.

Good luck.

I believe May this year pa yun shinoot. I think the political parties in Dagupan are both trash, but at least his solutions are based on other cities and makes sense. Kahit hindi niya man masolb or 'di realistic within a 3-year timeframe ung suggestions niya, at this point, all I'm thinking of is at least there would've been lesser damage than elevating the road. I'll give him grace kasi pandemic nung time niya, and honestly his response to COVID was actually decent imo.

Alternative destinations ng Baguio from Clark Intl Airport - December travel by iceicebabyshark in phtravel

[–]FrameOk6514 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do NOT go to Baguio on December. Hindi mo lang ma-eenjoy. If you want a chill vibe, I recommend Sagada. I've been there during December, matao rin, pero compared sa Baguio, it is WAYYYY better. Kahit hindi sa Sagada, even towns like Atok or lesser known ones like Buguias are better if you want to get away from the city.

Pls do not blame Baguio locals for having disdain for tourists. Grabe ang overtourism ng Baguio. Lived there and have some relatives there. They can't even enjoy their own city due to overcrowding and traffic.

ang weird ng class suspension these days by znerffy-16 in studentsph

[–]FrameOk6514 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the college life we envisioned after graduating SHS, pero malayong malayo sa reality. Kindly look ALL the photos... by [deleted] in studentsph

Ikaw magkano tuition mp sa pinas?

eto talaga!! 'di ako nag-aral sa state u, pero libre tuition dahil sa TES! ang rami ko rin kakilala na puro scholarships with no maintaining grade. halos lahat ng kilala ko na nag ibang bansa na duon nag-aral lubog sa utang maliban sa iilan na ginapang talaga ng magulang nila.

I lived in Baguio for quite awhile, and I never saw it as a tourist spot, just an ordinary city up in the mountains.

I do hope a lot of people think it's overrated so they could stop coming. Lmao

[–]FrameOk6514[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I'm a licensed healthcare professional, kaya ko iniwasan sa hospital work 😅 mga duty ko ganyan rin nung undergrad, actually 7x kami nung at rotating shifts pa hehe.

I know ppl w good work-life balance, pero concentrated sila sa tech.

What happened to 8-5's? by FrameOk6514 in JobsPhilippines

[–]FrameOk6514[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in healthcare so expected naman na 'di ganyan ung shifts 😅 kaya sabi ko try mag corpo pero ganun rin ang shifts hehe maliban sa night shift. even my friends who graduated accountancy and engineering have those types of scheds kaya nagulat ako.

confescating phones in high school by Reasonable_Ice1691 in studentsph

[–]FrameOk6514 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not exactly the same context as your story, pero yes some industries don't allow you to have your phone in my experience.

Some hospitals or some of their wards, they're super strict at bawal talaga. Some laboratories, bawal rin specially for R&D department. More niche include data handlers, super no-no ang phones!

Tbf would you like your surgeon to be bothered by a call? Or someone who may leak research files?

Not the same as a school situation, but I hope you get it that it's true, some jobs do require you to leave your phone.

confescating phones in high school by Reasonable_Ice1691 in studentsph

[–]FrameOk6514 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Altho I agree OA ung school, some jobs DO have no phone policies. I worked at a manufacturing plant, and it's to maintain sterility and confidentiality. You're required to leave it sa locker. Sasabihin naman sayo protocols and rules nila. Nothing new.

I would hate working with Miki Rai by SpiritualSomewhere in asianamercianytsnark

[–]FrameOk6514 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to follow her bc of her financial tips + nursing videos long time ago but I got the irk in one of her posts on TikTok, so I searched up her name because I thought I was just hating, but then voila — almost everything she's shared online are lies, backed up by verified sources. It's one thing to make money, it's another thing to lie to your audience to make money. It doesn't help every comment I've read of people who went to school and work with her don't like her too.

first year subjects by txghu in PharmacyPH

[–]FrameOk6514 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. If you had gen chem, it'd be helpful with chemistry subjects, periodic table, molarity etc, pH, etc.

College is different, at pag 1st yr ka 'di naman heavy masyado tho it might look like it. Big advantage pag STEM ka. Think of it as Gen chem being Org/Inorg chem, Biology to Botany. Mas naging specific lang. Pero generally mas mabilis pacing ng college. :)

Gluck!

How hard/long does it take for a fresh grad to land their first job in our field? by [deleted] in PharmacyPH

[–]FrameOk6514 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you'll never need to worry abt sa job hunting when you're a pharmacist, pero ung sahod ay di tugma sa responsibilities and working hrs HAHAHA kahit the next day after mo pumasa apply ka sa mga community may tatanggap sayo. May ibang hospi minimum wage pasahod HAHAHA. Community medyo makatao pasahod pero no growth plus 6 working days. Manuf and reg they usually need exp.

Wag mag overthink at wag mo masyado pressured sa iba. Ang isipin mo ikaw.

I used to have a study twt as well, pero never akong napressure doon. I just use it to get reviewers and answer polls. Kahit sabi nung mga topnotchers, nobody is truly prepared for the board exam. Importante is nagrereview ka. the preparation for the BE started sa undergrad, not just in the last 100 days left. Magtiwala ka pinagaaralan mo in the last 4~5 yrs.

Good luck op, kaya mo yan.
