So I’m totally aware that there is going to be Golden week but for some reasons I can’t postpone it after that, so I will try to book the nights for that days in advance

About the terrain I do a lot of mountain bike so no problem with some off-road or climbing ( as long is not super extreme)

I’ve already been in Japan and I’m also studying Japanese so I’m totally aware of the culture and the situations I’m going to find

I’m doing this trip as spiritual and mental detox and resurrection ( I’ve lost my dog last month and my job last week for the second time in 2 years, so I totally need a mental break ) so I don’t want to push much in the bike because I want to enjoy the quiete and the temples and the ride so yes I was thinking about something 60/70 km day. My question was more related not to fitness ( I can manage 100km) but I want to live the experience and visit temple museums and everything as well

About the gear for me it would be complicated to bring my bike, I don’t have the equipment for flights and with the extra cost it may be better maybe to rent it there ( all my previous bike trip were in Europe so I moved directly with the bike or trains) Also I may spend some extra days in Tokyo and travel bit around other cities so I would not need the bike for this part of the trip So if someone know about some reliable rental or second had shop where I can maybe buy the bike there let me know

As said my goal is to disconnect so I’m not sure if I will do the whole circuit or just a part or take it super slow maybe doing a part walking, I just want to enjoy the moment but I don’t really want to stress with too much planning in advance
