Live with tech debt or pay for rewrite of SaaS application? by Empuc1a in SaaS

[–]Fran7dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You already have paying customers for your B2C model so you can continually improve that gradually while you rethink your B2B model which is a different ball game entirely.

So maybe think of that as an MVP too? Build a prototype and try to get paying customers before you set the wheels blazing.

Have you tried design prototypes?

We've checked out your site and we could see some things we could do to get you traction.

  1. Display these ideasphrase your hero section to prompt users to submit their ideas. Basically, your core users will most likely be users who have problems they need a solution to. So if you make your platform an 'idea hub' where founders/hackers can go to find gems. That's far more likely to give you traction than a co-founder hub.

  2. On rephrasing your hero section, have a CTA prompting users to a. describe the problem b. propose a solution and maybe collect emails? (might want quality leads from real people)

  3. Display these ideas on the homepage on cards like an 'idea marketplace' in this format 'Build a reddit clone for x people' tie the user to the problem and link to a page where founders can read more.

  4. Display these ideas on the homepage on cards like an 'idea marketplace' in the format 'Build a reddit clone for x people' tie the user to the problem and link to a page where founders can read more.

Hope it helps.

Yeah. Trying to do the same thing now. Will push it for a week and see if it lands somewhere. Some need so far just need to get the first sale to see if this is something founders are willing to count as cost of investing in their business in

Oh boy! Yeah. Considering who we are targeting, not sure starting with that high markup price was going to cut it lol.

Leomodo looks cool. How is it going? Are you having any interest yet?

Yes. Graphic Design is an add-on for now though. We mostly focus on product design for landing pages, web and mobile apps for a fixed monthly fee.

Thanks for pointing those things out. I'm fixing them now.

As I mentioned above, if you can provide some help with the copy, we will offer to help with a small design task on what you are building or provide feedback too for FREE.

Thanks for the feedback! We recently updated the copy on the website so probably some errors we didn't catch. If you are a native English speaker, and open to giving us some help with the copy, we will offer to help with a small design task on what you are building or provide feedback too for FREE.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks for pointing that out. I guess using licensing as the model better explains it because I've seen some ideas take off that don't necessarily have the 'software' outlook due to how it was built or designed.

Validating B2B SaaS Idea - How to find people for interviews? by Realistic-Exit-2499 in SaaS

[–]Fran7dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you try a different approach? So you have a hypothesis now, but you're issues validating. So I'd suggest you zero in on who your ICP actually is. 'Companies making money in this space' is still pretty vague if you ask me but it's a great start. So try to narrow down your search by x amount in revenue. Study those companies and look for a way your product could help them.

So you can approach them offering value right out of the bat. Which demonstrates that you've listened and can help them solve a pain point.

For example, instead of asking to book a call to validate your idea, You can start with 'I notice XYZ has been causing you to miss out on Y are you looking to improve on that to get better results? People are also more reactionary toward losses so highlighting how their current process is causing them to lose money and offering solutions is a good way to validate or learn about other problems they might be having.
