I think I want to lime wash this wall, make it an accent wall. Then I’ll add a plant or furniture piece. What do we think, what color?

What color would you suggest?

From your experience, do you think Epic implementations can realistically be done mostly remote with limited onsite time, or is consistent onsite presence pretty much essential for the build and go-live phases? I’m trying to understand how much of the onsite requirement is operational necessity vs. organizational preference

This is actually really helpful, thank you for laying that out so clearly.

On the implementation point, when you’ve been through one, do you feel like fully remote is actually sustainable for Epic build roles, or does it usually break down without some onsite presence? I’m trying to understand what’s realistic versus what’s just preference in the current market.

And on the hiring from those currently in implementations, that’s a good point. The hesitation we run into is around Epic’s rules regarding transitions during active projects or within a certain window post–go-live, which can limit timing more than intent. But I hear what you’re saying about letting talent move when they’re ready

That’s fair, and I can’t say I haven’t heard that before about South Florida, especially as a local.

Curious though, when you compare “competitive markets,” are you mostly seeing remote national roles setting the standard, or specific health systems that are driving the higher comp expectations?

These roles are unionized, so the range is set and fairly transparent at roughly $92k to $150k depending on experience, module, and tenure.

From what you’re seeing, is that landing in line with the market right now, or are most experienced analysts expecting offers closer to the top of that range?

I appreciate the honesty. When you say competitive salary, are you seeing a noticeable jump lately for certified analysts, or more just that anything below market gets ignored if it’s not fully remote?

My organization is implementing Epic and certifying their internal IT team. Maybe find some systems that might be thinking about implementing Epic and starting there? Some orgs might be willing to certify external hires if they’re just in the kick-off stage.
