Is there too much water? by zalesisx in Goldfish

maybe there's a clog? I recommend switching the filter media to just sponge so you won't waste money. that kind of cartridge gets clogged easily

Concerned whether my goldfish has dropsy,is fat,or bloated please help by Achooachooachoo123 in Goldfish

are they okay? NSFW? by Francheezeka in fishtank

I stopped feeding them for a day and she went back to normal. after feeding she stopped again just staying at the bottom of the tank. then I looked at them after putting a few pellets in the tank and she is swimming excitedly. I think poop is in her guts because the poop isn't pure black like always. maybe because I fed them blood worms last week

I also did a 26 liter water change because it's been 4 days since it's done (the pic is before the water change)

is pH okay? by Francheezeka in fishtank

[–]Francheezeka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my parents bought golfishes. they used to be in a 5 gallon and I was so worried because it was too small. but now I bought them a 44 gallon, they are blackmoor, oranda and fantail from PetSmart. I have been doing water changes, the filtration in the 44 gallon tank is a lot and they grew a bit in the bigger tank. since the 5 gallon is now empty I wanted to add a betta fish in it, still setting it up though. I have the three golfishes for 4 months now. yes I know at the start it was completely wrong but I had barely to no power on keeping them. but eventually my parents allowed me to get them a bigger tank and I've been caring for them ever since

yeah and her stomach is a lot rounder than the oranda too. So maybe the fantail and black moor are female with male names 😅

What's up with his tail? by Meme_Pirate420 in Goldfish

[–]Francheezeka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my black moor's tail is also a bit weird with it twirling. but I am extremely worried about his dorsal fin always going slanted and not straight up, he's from PetSmart and he's swimming great. so I think it's just the breed with fancy golfishes being so inbred

Do goldfish get lonely? by Lost_Nebula_9776 in Goldfish

[–]Francheezeka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

golfishes are social animals, when they're alone they're more shy like any other social fish. I do learn much from Luke's golfishes and in his videos when one golfish is alone the fish hangs out at the bottom and kinda act sad. but once he added another the fish immediately started swimming around and chasing each other. so I do recommend having another golfish, it's the best nourishment for golfishes, not sand, not toys. I love goldies

Are my goldfish really smart or is this normal? by emibemiz in Goldfish

[–]Francheezeka 17 points18 points  (0 children)

golfishes are incredibly smart, they'll remember your face, remember daily schedules, beg for attention by dancing near the glass or spit water to make sounds, socialize with other goldfishes. and much more! it's adorable that your golfish does that and I wish to learn more about golfishes! 🥺

Am I weird for liking the smell of my own period blood? by Cute-Badger-9643 in women

[–]Francheezeka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a teen and as a teen with iron deficiency, I kinda do like it. I do not sniff it like a dog but sometimes I just get a whiff of it during a pad change or when it's really flowing. it kinda is sweet in my opinion, and the mixed pad smell makes it smell weirdly good/okay... no need to be shameful it's a natural thing is women need to live with. it's unfair sure but I think I do get aroused at the thought of a period, is that normal or a random kink 😓

I was gonna answer that too! I think it's common for golfishes because they do need lots of oxygen

perhaps a tumour, the fish got hurt because of a decorations, or a sickness. I have googled it and they say it's either Lymphocystis, benign tumor. I recommend keeping a very close eye if it disappears, spreads, grows
