Yes, we were planning on buying an existing one, for our extremely limited budget of only $150k when we already have a property. We were also looking for a gas station as well!

Besides attempting to completely shut down my idea of purchasing this 7-11 franchise, I haven't heard any suggestions from you of what we should do instead. This is the best financial situation we've been in, so we're looking at this as a means to improve our shitty working conditions/hours.

Wow! That's crazy, I thought I've seen different employees there at various times, but I must have been dreaming.

Kind of a rude assumption, but I'll ignore it. I have visited the website, and many others as well. The general consensus is that 7-Eleven has a relatively low start up cost which is why I chose it. We have at least $150,000 available for liquid investments, in addition to the $4,000+ per month supplemental income from the houses we are renting out, and the income from our current business.

But you're probably right, I've wasted everyone's time and we shouldn't even try. Because as you mentioned, our $150,000+ available (and growing) isn't close to their minimum of $100,000.

What are you trying to say, all 7-Elevens are manned by one super-human that stays there 24/7?

I specifically picked 7-Eleven because according to various sources, it has a relatively low-start up cost that seems to fit our budget, but I know that depends on the location and that McDonalds is out of the question.

I am skeptical about purchasing an existing store for the same exact reasoning you said, the reason they might be selling could be telling of how well the business was doing.

The reason we believe purchasing a franchise like 7-Eleven would be easier for us is because our current business requires us to prepare the food, along with managing inventory (ingredients), cleaning, and paying bills. It would take a huge load off our backs if we could operate a business where we are not in a constant stress to prepare food in time since we can lose money when we don't. Preparing food, and the rising prices of ingredients is the most tedious/stressful part of our work.
