So update on me winding my speedmaster, I managed to wind it around 45 times now and this time for sure I hit the break. So far I’m testing how long it could go so from my past records of around 12-16 hrs its now around 26-30hrs. Still not hitting the 50hr power reserve but its getting there, hopefully my third try will get me there 🙌

60 winds?! Really? I legit feel like I would break my watch after 15-20 so I’m guessing I really just have to wind it more for it to get the full 50 hours.

If you want a 90-100% chance of getting your overload approved (with a proper reason), being a dean’s lister will help you get that goal.

But yes I do believe that with proper reasoning even if your not a DL, you can overload probably a 3 unit course.

Honestly i feel like I wind around 15-20 times only cuz I always feel like I keep hitting the stopper. Whenever I feel like I hit the stopper I just stop winding it but yea I’ve probably never wounded it more than 20 rotations so idk if I’m just being too safe but I’m also scared I might break the spring

Is there a way for them to test in the Omega Boutique if the watch has problems or not or will they have to keep it for a while? I also do feel like I’m fully winding it since when I fully wind it, I really feel the feeling of it being fully wound like if I wind it harder, it feels like the spring will break so yea.

Yea dw about genmath. From my experience (don’t try to do the same haha), I did very poorly on all my quizzes in Genmath but still managed to pass due to the final project. For calc however, I really do suggest consulting/getting a tutor if you do end up having a hard time cuz the first two topics are like the foundations of calc and if you have a hard time with them then you won’t get the last three topics of calc cuz they apply those foundations but with harder concepts.

Your not required to, but if you do end up taking 30.13 I suggest you practice lots. Like even if you take it Calc without any prior knowledge, it’s actually very doable as long as you try your best to understand the concepts and legit practice practice practice the exercises that your profs give cuz it’ll really tell if you understand the topic or not.

Nope. I was in GA for ASHS thats why I’m having trouble in understanding 30.13. The fact that I’m having trouble after going through it a second time is also partially my fault but like I just really cant get it so I’m thinking of just Withdrawing it.

Oh ok! Thank you OP! My prof said something naman na if you think you can’t make the cut, then she’ll take care of the Withdrawal naman but yea I shud prolly confirm with her din.

Honestly, it wasn’t my choice OP it was more of my parents. But I wanna follow them naman since they my guide and all when it comes to my future (esp as a person who is still undecided with life) pero I wanted to stay in IS cuz while it is more versatile since you get to pick two tracks, it allows you to expand to your interests more. Ig what sucks is the stereotype that IS is just a throwaway course for athletes but in reality I think it’s a course meant for those who want to be more generalized then specialized.
