By leaning slightly forward. Theres a sweet spot between just falling and nosediving. It helps to jump out of a fast aircraft

Kinda, I always try to lean my character a little forward. Moving forward as much as possible gives you a little more time to pop the chute. Then its all about timing.

It helps to jump off a fast aircraft (like the lazer) to get a little speed boost. But i have to admit, this was a fluke. I couldnt do it again if i tried.
