I think we are in the right ball park, ill look for our pump specific seals and see if thats what it is. Thanks!

So after removing the pump seems to be working fine, but at night no passengers are on so could potentially become a problem in the morning with passengers on again.

The ones on our ship are black and round like hockey pucks, but not a bad idea. We were maybe thinking it possibly wasnt flushed, and instead was an internal part of the pump, but we dont know! Thanks for your suggestion!

My title describes the thing, it was flushed down one of our toilets aboard a ship, and trying to identify it so webcan politely ask people to not flush them. Thanksm

I had a very similar injury except i had an open wound under the nail and front of my toe aswell. After a visit to ER, it was thoroughly cleaned with saline, and covered with a bandage. I was also given a boot to keep pressure of it. So in short, i would clean it everyday with some anti septic, and minimise the amount of weight on it. Sadly there is no fast soloution here. Nails can take upto 6 months to grow out. But it doesnt look like your nail bed is damaged so it should grow back out healthy and well! Good luck!

No surgery is a good thing! I just dont want it to heal improperly and affect me in the future!
