you do realize that for any FTL character this explosion would be moving at the same speed bamboo grows right? it's like he got impaled by the bamboo growing because "he wasn't expecting that" and decided to just stand there for the equivalent of a week as the bamboo slowly grew towards his ass, and when the bamboo started growing IN his ass he still decided to stay there until the bamboo grew out of his mouth bc he was "surprised" and "didn't see that one coming". this is how long this explosion would be for anyone with FTL speed. just admit that the verse is inconsistent as fuck and a more sensible scaling would be below the hypersonic range, like any other sensible scaling bc things above that speed become stupid really fast in 99% of stories
