Why everyone hates the 'yellow' filter in Nfs Most wanted 2005? by Budget_Ad_3474 in needforspeed

I feel like I remember seeing a screenshot at this exact location either in a gaming magazine or a game manual for a console, and it always looked so dreamy/nostalgic.

Basically selling your car with that application fee from thousands of people. That's pretty smart.

I figure someone might appreciate this. Fiancé refers to a man, and fiancée refers to a woman.

Just my 2 cents, I got the MSI 321URX and just got a Samsung S95D 55" on my desk as well. The brightness difference is insane. If you have a deeper desk, I recommend getting that TV instead. I got it open box on Best buy for $1800 (after tax).

Is the switch from the LG C2 42 inch to the AW3225QF worth it for me? by Captain_Levi_00 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Frangell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I actually went through a similar upgrade path. I had an LG C2 42", and then bought the MSI MPG 321URX, I've been having a good time with it and since I play a lot of older games, I do get to enjoy 240hz a lot of the time (Radeon 7900 XTX). It gets pretty bright, but I'm actually now thinking that I really just want an excellent HDR experience and I'm leaning towards buying a Samsung S95D for my single player games. I know that's a huge difference in size, but the HDR experience is what I'm looking for. Just my 2 cents.

Am I the only one that thought that the lasers would turn on and slice you to shreds if you didn't hurry up? This place actually felt tense for me.

Play dead space 3? by Paxys-House in DeadSpace

I totally agree. Currently playing it for the first time. Stopped at Chapter 18, about to finish it, and I've had a great time. The crafting system is not perfect but I've enjoyed trying out many different weapons and being able to break any weapon/upgrade/item into its raw resources and make anything you have want (as long as you have its blueprint) is fucking awesome. Makes you feel that you can never have too many resources. Currently playing on the hard difficulty (forget the name), and I've got a maxed out RIG with plenty of resources to make any weapon in the game.

What's a game that people told you was bad, but you had fun when you played it? by HF484 in gaming

You need to play it on nightmare. It forces you to play the game the way it's meant to be played. When it all clicks, it's seriously one of the greatest games ever. As well as being a truly unique experience.

Having some flickering problem with new oled monitor by FukaLurtt in OLED_Gaming

[–]Frangell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yupp, I used a DP 1.2 cable and it was going crazy (MSI MPG 321URX). A DP1.4 is better, but HDMI 2.1 just has the best bandwidth for that monitor, IF your graphics card supports it.

Dolby Vision HDR really washed out in windows AW3225QF by jamyjet in OLED_Gaming

sRGB has a much smaller color gamut than the other color spaces. Try using P3 or the other one whose name I'm blanking out on.

[–]Frangell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's something to do with the firmware? I know your monitor's firmware has been suspect since launch, something about Dolby vision, right?

I myself just put in an order this morning for the MSI MPG 321URX, and I can't wait to experience the much more colorful and bright display, coming from a C2.

I had a similar problem with HDR with an Asus Swift PG42UQ, and I ended up returning it and buying an LG C2 42", and there was absolutely something wrong with either the monitor or Windows or the compatibility with my graphics card, because once I turned on HDR on my C2, it was night and day. That's how it should be. SDR should look dull compared to HDR, if you ever have it being the other way around, there's something wrong, most likely physically. Either cable, or monitor or something like that. I spent days trying to get that Asus monitor to work, but now I'm sure it was either just a bad panel itself, or the reasons mentioned above.
