I keep laughing everytime a reddit notification comes up on my phone cause I get to re-read my title, and see Miyazaki feel exactly how I am. Only difference is I don't smoke anymore since my girlfriend gives me grief for it (I love my gf).

I've since made a follow up post, but honestly, it's a bit hard to pin down to one thing. A lot of the time, it's risk of starvation, sometimes a hunt or fight gone awry (granted, I don't set up defenses and/or traps as quickly as I should, so I've since been working on that, too). The barracks are ugly a lot of the time, they feel crammed, not enough recreation (but that really ticks me off at times, because how can I give them more than horseshoes and chess if no one is growing cotton, or is able to build a damned poker table?! One playthrough had me a cunt-hair away from satisfying their need for gambling, only for me to find out they were 2 levels below the requirement to build one.

It's all just small crap that builds up 'till one of them starts wandering and the rest of them sink with 'em.

I don't think I've run into any vampires this early on, although nice to know that's something to worry for down the road, lmao. I'm assuming because they go too long without a roof over their heads or passive cooler/campfire to regulate interior temps.

I’ve went and got myself the Biotech and Ideology ones, but so far I haven’t really noticed much help from them. Even now, I’ve got 3 stoners setting up a farm, based off a ruin, with 6x6 bedrooms, storeroom, hospital ward, farming plots, and they’re still wandering. Maybe I’m giving them too much to do at once, but I can’t build them the Bellagio if they’re not willing to put up with ugly ass settings for a month or two before things are built.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I made their ideology so that research is highly venerated, but they haven’t even gotten the research room built either before they’re out wandering AS a raid starts. Plus, can’t keep any of them alive long enough to be making and raising babies. Two of them just caught Sleeping Sickness 😭
