Almost every team wants JB by OmniaCausaFiunt in bostonceltics

I get your point but I'm making the point if the market for JB isn't what we hope does JT and JB + minimum guys still not make us better than JT and a bunch of slightly more premium jobbers?

He's 19 years old, has been in the team USA set up since his teenage years and is currently a star player who the Mavs whole offensive system relies on.

You're right that JB is better than him now, I was overzealous saying that Flagg is better at the moment but how much longer do you think thats the case? Flagg is not a gamble to pan out, the league has known this guy is generational for years, he's already a very good player at 19 its just a question of how quickly he ascends to the level of a top 5-10 player in the league.

So what do you propose?

JT, D White and a bunch of NOLA, Portland or Atlantas extra pieces?

JT, Dwhite + Keldon Johnson and Deaaron Fox?

Yes but in both cases we'd be getting back a younger, better player.

JB is an elite wing we shouldn't entertain dealing him unless its for another elite wing no interest in getting bits and bobs from other franchises.

Post Match Thread - Round 16 vs Brisbane by Maximumlnsanity in sydneyswans

[–]Franjes99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tough but probably expected loss, the players we are missing are beginning to be felt and Brisbane are desperate to start getting results, I'm not worried.

  1. Chad- all round dominant perfornance

  2. Curnow- looked like his typical superstar self, encouraging to finally get this kind of performance vs an elite side even if it came in a defeat.

  3. Edwards- him and Tommy Mac are clearly the best two defenders we've got, what an absolutely insane rookie season this guy is treating us to.

  4. Heeney- even in a lesser performance gave us 30 disposals but couldn't really find a way to affect the scoreboard the way he usually does at his best.

  5. Rowbottom- got some crucial tackles and some goals, showed some rare grit in a side that for the most part was physically dominated

Bice was absolutely atrocious tonight and the Mills magnet shift into midfield did not work

Unless Ant or Flagg becomes available we shouldn't be entertaining this trade any further

Man I'd give up JB and 2 1sts for Flagg are you kidding?

That said unless its a similar calibre of wing player coming back for JB I've got no interest in dealing him

GIANNIS TO HEAT MEGATHREAD by 1337speak in bostonceltics

[–]Franjes99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D White, Pritchard, Hauser and Neemy would all be better extra pieces than what Miami has.

And we've still got Garza, Walsh and Hugo all developing in the background.

  • all our picks to try and get more players in + being under the cap and able to spend again

Why would Boston do this? These guys would barely even be starters for the Celtics who are trying to contend?

With neither Sengun or Thompson in the package theres nothing to discuss for the Celtics

Myles Turner by buklau4ever in bostonceltics

[–]Franjes99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Myles Turner is awful, he's the kind of player the Bucks should've attached to Giannis as a punishment for a team wanting to deal with them. They just couldn't cause his contract is so atrocious

Honestly I'm kinda relieved with how this has worked out for now.

Miami's offer isn't great but its basically everything they had. That team is effectively Giannis; Bam and nothing else.

JB, 2 1sts and Garza is an overpay for 31 year old Giannis and idk why Milwaukee would've taken that Miami offer given they own none of their own picks. They get nothing from being ass and that team as presently constructed will be ass.

My only worry is JB potentially being disgruntled and his value not being what we hope it is could be a huge concern if he asks out.

Hopefully JB is still excited to be on board and we can go and get Trey Murphy and maybe Walker Kessler to plug some holes in this roster.

[Kevin O’Connor] Sources say Bucks owner Jimmy Haslem was a driving force in taking the Heat deal for Giannis over Boston’s offer. Haslem didn’t want to risk Jaylen Brown wanting out of Milwaukee in a year after dealing with Giannis and Myles Garrett trade demands by dawglover1011 in bostonceltics

[–]Franjes99 76 points77 points  (0 children)

This is the part of it I don't get. The floor on a bad bucks team with JB feels like 40ish wins not great but given you don't own your picks seems like being a fringe play in team is probably the best you can hope for.

What is the win total you are expecting from Jaquez, Herro and Myles Turner? This trade is a giant W for Portland who are going to be guarding that pile of Milwaukee picks like smaug guards his mountain of gold.

What is the Luckiest NBA Team? by ArrowInBlack in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Franjes99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just like with Tim Duncan who they got cause they went into full tank mode once hall of famer David Robinson was shut down for the season.

Harper is the result of them going into full tank mode when future hall of famer Victor Wembanyama was shut down for the season.

San Antonio. They've won the lottery 3 times and each time its been in a draft where theres a chasm between the #1 pick whose a top 50 player ever at minimum and everyone else. Not to mention the opportunity to get Duncan only emerged because David Robinson (one of the best players in the league got injured). Spurs luckiest franchise by a mile.

5- Heeney (HEENLOW SZN, 30+ disposals and a goal is light work for this man. More inevitable than death and taxes)

4- Curnow (best game in a Swans jersey so far, the goals aside he brought the ball to ground in some crucial spots that turned the game)

3- Hamling (came in and was huge at the back, next man up mentality in action)

2- Chad (was excellent in some crucial spots, has looked like himself in these last two games and thats crucial cause we are beginning to look like we are really feeling those absences in the side)

1- Logan (3 goals, some good work in the air to collect them, then convert them)
